Yeah, clearly we're not watching the same Dragon Knight because in the one I'm watching (i.e., the one that ACTUALLY EXISTS), they just bullshit like stuff actually happens when in fact, nothing does.

Kind of like SPD.

Except Underachiever actually defends the show when it's done good and critiques it when it's done bad. There's maybe 3 people that talk about this show somewhat objectively here (myself not included, but I have downs syndrome so my points are moot anyway).

I agree. Also, it's so much better than Disney's PR. But RPM has a great story.

I would have kept Tzachor, Lynn, and Marchand all the way through to PROO. PRNS-PROO made me sick from beginning to end. PRJF was tolerable to me but nothing special. RPM is the only Disney era PR I can handle in full. So ya the only rewriting I would have done was paid those writers to come over to NZ along with the show in 2003.

I definitely agree with you on this. I wish Saban wouldn't have sold it to Disney. If Saban were never bankrupt, Saban would've continue to produce Power Rangers.

I love KRDK but I still say PRiS-PRWF threw in better stories, even if some of it was copied from Sentai.

On other boards, people seem to actually legitimately criticize and express their issues with the show, whereas here, either people jump to make excuses for every single flaw in the show, or they just cover their ears and go, "ZOMG GUIZE DONT WACH TEH SHOWE EF U DUNT LIEK IT."

FR... You didn't help any. I think KRDK is doing very well story wise. It had a few bumps in the beginning, but it is fleshing out nicely. They took the source material and made something better. Ryuki was ok, but story wise it was awful.

This is why I REALLY hope "Out of the Void" isn't about what I think it's about. On the interviews on 4KidsTV.com, everyone working on this show, from the cast, the crew, and the writers, all went on and on about how, even though this is a kids' show, stuff happens, and there's consequences, and things don't just magically get reset. And if it's about what I think it is (and considering some of the last few episode titles, it probably is), then it shits all over that idea.

Not only will they all be sprung from the void, but i'm betting they'll all automatically want to team up and vent Xaviax. I hope that doesn't happen, but i'm totally prepared for it. It would be chaos if they were actually all released at once. The Cho's, Richie, and Camo would all be gunning for Kit and Len. Drew would likely disappear into the not so reflective shadows. Chris and Kase would chase down Sting for revenge, it wouldn't be pretty. We won't get that though, they've squandered too many episodes.

Which ties back into what I was saying earlier about how people on this board either jump to make excuses for it or just cover their ears to the criticism.

And I don't understand that. Why is it such a problem when we criticize this show? I don't know about anyone else, but for me, it's not that I don't LIKE the show, I WANT to like it, and it has had some fantastic episodes ("Xaviax's Promise," "Semper Fi," "Strike's Ultimatum," and all the episodes from "Kamen Rider Camo" to "Xaviax's Promise" were pretty solid as well). It's just that, ever since "Xaviax's Promise," aside from the occasional glimmer of greatness, the show has been mediocre to downright terrible.

So it's not that I don't LIKE the show, I'm just extremely disappointed that it hasn't even come close to fulfilling its potential. It's like being a teacher and having a student who usually gets Cs or below, but occasionally they'll pull out an A or a B, so you know they're not stupid, but it makes you sad because you know they can be doing so much better.

And that's how it is with Dragon Knight. It's not a BAD show, and it has the potential to be great, but it doesn't live up to it at ALL. But for some reason, saying that on this board is a big no-no.

And I don't understand why. Why is there so much blind fanboyism for this show on this board, when pretty much everywhere else that discusses it legitimately and constructively critiques it? All this blind following is doing is making it more likely that a second adaptation won't be any better.

I think there should be a "how would you re-write Dragon Knight" thread. I actually have tons of ideas on that, where as with rewriting SPD-JF I don't care anymore. Though I would have loved to see SPD be a continuation of Dino Thunder, steadily building to a climax with a retooled RPM. God, they were doing such a good job with laying the framework for a new era with NS and DT.
