How would you handle RPM?

How would you handle RPM if you was the boss of Disney and writing staff?

If i was in control this is what i would do.

1. Broadcast RPM in HD/Widescreen.

2. Since Disney XD is for boys bring back Saban era series in HD.

3. Resign Jackie and have the scab writers take over most of the simple episodes.

4. Since JF is a hit in more ways than one i would go with the same formula which is using 90% of the storyline and plots from their Sentai counterpart.

5. RPM would take place in the year 3,000 on a another Planet were Humans and Machines live together. Most of the Machines talk which are called Engines who are the protectors of the Planet with their partners which are Humans (Rangers). They fight off a Evil group of Machines which became corrupted and comes to Earth to take out their plans on a another Planet which the Engines and Rangers must go to Earth and live to fight the Dark Machines...basically the same Go-On storyline with the Engines chasing the Gaiark.

6. Make the Promos very series maybe even making the premiere something epic and never been done before. Like "The evolution of Power Rangers".

7. I would get a grant from the government or cut programs that are shitty and get more Money to flim more episodes which would help fit all those "G" formations in without having to debut a new one every single episode.

 

[Real Action]

1. Bring back the episode promos.
2. A forty episode season.
3. Plant the Silver and Gold Ranger powers earlier in the season, and introduce them fully around Episode 19 or so.
4. A kickass theme song like JF's.
5. Black and Green would be brothers.
6. An actual relationship, namely between Blue and Yellow.
7. No big explosions.
8. A set of team motorcycles.
9. A team battlizer.

Uh... Can't do that. They weren't filmed that way. Besides, how many six year olds even know what hi-def is?

JF didn't use that much of the Geki storyline. Maybe 60% max.



Bring back an old ranger, as a mentor or even a ranger. Maybe David Yost (Billy) or Johnny Yong Bosch? (don't think Tommy should come back again).

Less explosions and jumping and CG, more combat.

The only thing I'd want to impose onto Power Rangers is just a better standard of writing practices. Focus more on episodic plots and character interactions that matter. allow the viewers to get to know the characters in every episode and build on them in every episode.

In JF, Dominic feels like a complete stranger. I dont know who he is. He doesnt get any lines, hes barely there at all outside of his ranger uniform. That shouldn't be happening to any character.

And obviously I would do anything in my power to get Judd Lynn and Greg ARonowitz back, as well as keep Bruce on. Yes, I like Bruce. Bruce has fantastic vision when you let him do what he wants.
