I've gotten atleast three of my friends in Kamen Rider :buttrock:
Friend number 1:
At first, he was like "Don't show me this power rangers crap!" but then throughout the day, he was hooked and became a fan... but not as hardcore and loyal but just as a viewer.
Friend number 2:
I was watching Dekaranger clips at my friends house and my friend walks in the room and says, "You're watching Power Rangers?! Oh my god!" then he called two of our other friends (one being his older brother) and said "Dudes! Jason's watching Power Rangers!" so everybody just stampede's in and starts staring at me. But then I told them that there was a huge difference between "Power Rangers" and "Sentai". Few days later, the same friend is over at my house while I'm watching Kamen Rider Blade... and once he got a taste of Kamen Rider Blade, he decided to check out Dekaranger... and that's when he got out of the closet :laugh: Turns out he was a closet power ranger fan and he knew every single thing about the series. Not only did I get him out of the 'closet' but I also made him a Toku fan just like me. I tried getting him into watching Kamen Rider Faiz but he refuses. He says it looks like a piece of crap compared to Kamen Rider Blade and Kamen Rider Blade is like the only show he praises. I got him to watch a few eps of Hibiki but he says the feeling is very weird... But on Saturday, he watched 7 episodes of Magiranger and continued to watch Dekaranger 13~29. :buttrock: I'm proud of this little fella :laugh:
Friend number 3:
Friend number 3 is friend number 2's oldest brother. He was cool with my liking of toku and didn't really care about it but when I got my Ryuki box set, I invited them over and had a little marathon party. After seeing Zolda and all his vents, he was amazed and from there on, he joined in our little group. He doesn't really download toku and watch them on his own though... The only time he watches it is when he's over at my house and he too has lots of power ranger knowledge. I wouldn't consider him a closet fan because he never denied being a fan of it.
Anyways, share you stories!
Oh, and I'll try getting friend number 2 coming to these boards. He's not much of a forum poster but he knows about this place since I'm always on it when they're over...
