What do your other Friends think of Toku?

I have no closed-minded friends at all. I actually showed quite a few Kamen Rider the First, Kabuto, and Den-O, and they all liked it. One of those people is currently watching Hibiki.

I never really force anything onto any of my friends. But one of my friends caught me watching episodes of Deka in class, naturally his first reaction was "Power rangers?! You watch power rangers?!" He kept joking about that for awhile, but generally my friends do accept the fact that I watch it but I doubt I could get them into this sort of thing.

A couple of my friends think it's cool, and others are all like "LOL Power Rangers WTF dude y do u still watch it DUR-HURR =B"

My family thinks I'm strange for watching it, but they've accepted the fact that I've never really outgrown it all that much. Hell, I showed my dad Kamen Rider The First and he liked it. He thought it was pretty interesting, especially after seeing the Making Of featurette. I even had to explain to him the awesomeness of the Rider Kick.

My uncle also watches Kamen Rider V3 via GKTV and he thought it was cool. He actually laughed when he heard the villains speaking in Japanese. He had been so used to watching American Sci-Fi, so everything was foreign to him. In the end, though, he ended up liking V3.

But then again, Hiroshi Miyauchi has that effect on people.

You see, if we were all Japanese children living in Japan, no one would argue with you, attempt to leave you, or down you for buying a belt. In fact, little kids go around with Kamen Rider shirts and stuff, because they know it's cool. A lot of people are to ignorant or embarassed to see that.

As far as "converting people", we really shouldn't. We can only pressure them to realize that Toku is cool. The only people in my life that I've gotten Toku addicted were my brother and my little nephew. My cousins think it's alright.

they think my Den-O Belts are for kids, even my family thinks that way too.... "WTF MANG, IT'S A F**KING BELT WITH LIGHTS AND SOUND AND IT COSTED YOU 60 BUCKS?!?! (Canadian)"

Yes, I don't think you can ever convince anyone that these belts have some value to them. First of all, you can say that they are collectable and valuable. Second of all, it's just plain fun. I mean, same purpose with Transformers. They're collectable, valuable (but not as much) and fun to play with.
