Has anyone ever experinced racism?

Mostly because of being hispanic and quiet, I got picked on twice

9/11- Someone with same skin tone as mine kept calling me a name that later I figred out was an actual name of a terrorist( Something like "Kadalfe"

When Virginia Tech happened, everyone was playing like I was gonna be the next kid to go on a shooting rampage, though they did that in a jokingly kind of way.

My brother has actual dealings with racism from being gay. Going to the local schools he is constantly reminded that he a faggot. His high school gave him peace though.

I'm Filipino and encountered people saying this to me every now and then during eigth grade. Pissed the hell outta me.

I was a big&tall black kid who hadn't shaved for months, so I get pulled over for a "random" security check at the airport on my way back from Miami. That chamber creeped the hell out of me.

Then there's the usual "cross the street or get the f%#k outta the way, the black kid's walking over here" whenever I'm in a place with alot of white people.

I used to get bullied at school because I was one of the very few people there who weren't white. We had a big family of Filipino kids (who were well known as bullies/troublemakers, so no one ever said anything to them) and a few black or Indian people, but like 98% of the students and staff were white. Most of the kids were much worse about black people than about me though - I remember a girl being harassed by the whole class because she had made out with a black guy at a party, and some of the older boys used to pick fights in the "black" part of town at the weekend.

You know, being a man my size and black at the same time...I don't think anyone EVER wanted to mess with me. They automatically assumed I would beat them up, or give them attitude. When in reality, I'm a total pacifist. So no, I never experienced any kind of racism. However, my last relationship makes me think otherwise.

I haven't really faced any racism so far in my life apart from beng mistaken for another race most of the time (now its rarely)

Back in high school, the bullies would even go so far to make racial remarks to me. :redface2: "Go back to where you belong" they say. My god, I hope someone had punched them or something.

Same...

I'm Chinese and was once mistaken as Japanese by a bunch of white school-age "anime fan kids"... though that was probably because of my hairstyle as I think about it. Even my aunt told me that I look like a "real Japanese person" with that hairstyle of mine.
...though that was only one little incident.

I have often been thought of as the "Chinese kid who excels at mathematics" throughout high school (or Peter Griffin's "human calculator" :P) -- even though I wasn't that good. :disappoin
So there was quite a lot of pressure b/c everybody at school expected me to do well...

I'm white...REALLY white...like the sheets I sleep in, but I experience it ALL the time...LOL

My gfs father HATES me because I am white and he is Chinese, my college is predominately indian so I get talked to about taking their land and everything, but I don't mind, I just don't let it get to me, but I am sorry to hear about your work. That really sucks man.
