GekiChopper: A Disappointment?

I just got done checking Gekichopper and I must admit I thought it was pretty good. At first I was like this dude is an idiot and this is going to kill the series for me; however, I was wrong I like Gekichopper not as much as I like GekiViolet but hey what can I say Gekichopper is cool!

What can say about Gekichopper I like the whole slacker/goofy character that gekichopper has going on, and to be honest it remains me of me to a certain point. Too be honest about it I can't wait to see where they go with this new character! So let's give Gekichopper a chance!

Based on how we know Japan does things, slacker characters usually have the most potential. When Ken gets serious, Maku poops in his pants.

Case in point: Look at how tense and uptight Retsu and Ran always are and how sucky they've become. I could draw a graph on this entire relationship. Ran's totally forgotten about EroHan's teachings. Smile, man, people!

Ken's smile is addictive, and LOL worthy. :laugh:

Yeah, that's what I thought. He is like a Sentai version of Goofy, in some ways (Laughing):laugh: :laugh: .

Can I suggest this:

If you feel you were let down, chances are you were reading the *spoilers* thread and knew about it before hand. But those who didn't and knew nothing about it didn't feel let down. You kind of have to watch every episode without knowing the next one. Don't forget, GekiChopper has something of a TAE KWON DO KARATE theme to him and GekiViolet is a KICKBOXER. The main three have a KENPO KARATE theme. They're three different styles but equally as strong as the others.

But it teaches you a lesson: Back away from the spoilers later in the season.

I didn't read up on Geki Chopper (characterwise) and yet I was dissappointed on his appearance. I felt it too early for him to be brought in too. Yes I knew Geki Chopper was appearing, that was it. Nothing else, minus a few pics that don't do anything about what he'd be like, any justice until it is shown on the actual series itself.

So Blazeking, what you say is a little flawed.

True that. Maybe it's because he only had one introductory episode, coming out of nowhere did unsettle me a bit. Gou on the other hand, while he did appear out of nowhere too, had a few eps to let viewers get comfortable with him. The fact that he was Retsu's brother too might have eased the transition. The guy's also a former loner wolf which upped the "cool" factor a bit.

But I do find that after watching ep 28 again, he's actually a pretty cool guy. I suppose he might come across as a slacker-type, but you can't deny he knows when to get serious. He just had the bad luck of appearing in a MOTW episode as compared to Gou who contended with Maku's bodyguard IMO.

So for the time being, he's an ok character who should become a valuable member in time.

Well maybe Gekichopper's style to take ppl by surprise??? plus I think we're running a bit late now. We need all the members to be out so we can enjoy them abit. I certinaly don't want to wait till mid or late 30s.

note: the name Gekichopper reminds me of the Greenskin choppas from Warhammer.

Well I think he is awesome I love his Characters personality It just makes you wanna smile everytime you see a episode with him in it and I honestly Think his suited up form is real cool I mean he has a Hand Rocket Sword weapon and I cant wait for him to bring out the big guns with ( cant remember his name of his Zord thing) But yeah he is my fav character so far and Jan is closely behind him winning that ^_^

I've always thought of it as a salutation in Karate.

In Japanese, it supposedly means "Patience with myself and others."
