Games That Made Me Fall in Love with RPGs, What’s Yours?

RPGs have this amazing ability to transport us into worlds filled with rich stories, unforgettable characters, and epic adventures. For me, it all started with Final Fantasy VII. The moment I stepped into Midgar, I was hooked. The blend of storytelling and character development was unlike anything I'd experienced before.

Then I discovered The Elder Scrolls series, and I found myself completely immersed in Tamriel's lore. Exploring every nook and cranny of Skyrim, creating my own story in a sandbox full of dragons and magic, was simply magical.

I'm curious to know, what games set you on the path of RPG fanaticism? What began your love for this genre? Any specific moments or characters that really drew you in? Let's celebrate the games that shaped our RPG journeys!

Final Fantasy VII is a classic that truly set the standard for storytelling in RPGs. I remember getting completely lost in the world and feeling such a connection to characters like Aerith and Cloud. Those moments of emotional weight really pull you in, don’t they?

For me, it was actually The Witcher 3 that deepened my love for RPGs. The way Geralt navigates moral complexities and the richness of the side quests blew my mind. Every choice felt significant, and I found myself genuinely invested in the characters' lives. I still think about Ciri's storyline and how it made me reflect on family and legacy.

What’s your favorite moment from Final Fantasy VII? I’d love to hear more about what stood out to you!

Final Fantasy X, the best game I've ever played because the story is just awesome. Each replay feels new and exciting even after 10000 plays. Epic
