Former Red Ranger in Jail

That's why killing is bad but kicking ass and raising hell is perfect. This isn't the Old West, Middle Age or Samurai era now.

So apparently Jason David frank made a tweet telling Ricardo to "straighten up". I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the stupidity of that. He says it like he just got drunk in public or something. Someone friggin' died!
Not to mention the fact that, unlike the other actors, who are acknowledging that this is difficult for Ricardo too, JDF decides to hound him. I kinda think he has enough on his plate today without the white knight of the pr fandom bashing him.

I normally try to defend JDF from all the hate he gets, but this? The man has no tact whatsoever.

I totally lost respect for Jdf... no class at all that guy. He's just to full of himself! I respect Austin Saint John, Jason Faunt and Blake Foster a looot more!!

I still don't understand why he didn't flip out his Growl Phone and shout "Wild Access"! It's morphin' time, all the time!

And as for JDF, be a lot more nicer to the alumni of the franchise you starred on. That's just fucked up. JDF lost his feels a long time ago.

Him being the 'face' of power rangers doesn't excuse him from anything. I appreciate that he's important, but saying "straighten up" after someone DIED, as though you just caught someone cheating on a test, is such a wildly out of proportion reaction that it just makes him look ridiculous.

Not to mention that he seems to have decided that because he and a bunch of other actors PLAY power rangers, that they actually ARE power rangers, and tries to hold them all to a moral standard based purely on his viewpoint.

Anyway, that's probably enough JDF talk from me, the topic's not about him.
Regardless, I'm genuinely surprised about how much offensive stuff is being said in this topic. You guys do know it's possible to feel sorry for the guy who died, AND defend the other person involved, right? You don't have to pick one, and make the other look like a monster. For the record, it sounds like Ric's roommate was the aggressor, but saying "kill the fucker", really?

As much as there's truth to his stance, he HAS a point. Being a Power Ranger or not should show a good example to everyone, especially kids. Not counting Sean Bean because he's cool, have you really see an action star killing an unarmed person?

well, ideally, no one should kill an unarmed person, but during fights, people can panic. Also, being an action star really has nothing to do with it. Sure, people look up to you, but I highly doubt one would be thinking about their role at a time like that.

Seriously, enough of this JDF hatred nonsense. He has a family to take care of. This isn't gamergate. No one wins. Go somewhere else to piss off, not his social media accounts. Ricardo shouldn't use a sword to begin with. While waiting for his trial if possible, I don't believe that $1M bailout. He's neither a terrorist nor a most wanted man.

If criticising someone for poor handling of a sensitive topic 'pisses you off' that's probably not a good sign. either way, there are plenty of people guilty of this, not just him. Rather than discuss it like adults, most people are just flinging insults, either at sides of the argument, or at each other.
And you don't need to tell me he shouldn't have used a sword. I think I'm aware that he shouldn't have stabbed someone with a sword.
The bail amount does seem quite high though, doesn't it?

I caught him and called him out for his hypocrisy, how does he respond? grow up. really? You can't go preaching, now now don't fight, when you just called out medina to 'straighten up' when he doesn't know what he's talking about, no one not even him knows what they were arguing about. A looot of people looks up to him, yet here he comes being judgemental and ranting like an overaged teenager, and people looked up to him. All we know is what the media told us. i understand where he was going with the brand thing but he seriously looked more like a hypocritical jerk then a role model. :nono: sry if I offended anyone, im just still at awe with his reaction towards this tragic storey

well he did just murder someone

^ Only depending on the circumstances can you distinguish between 'murder' and 'kill'. There is a difference.
