WARNING(post disclaimer): Hello- You're in a freaking Advent Children discussion thread. You just signed away all rights to bitch about spoilers. I was smart enough to stay away from all signs of FF7:AC threads and related topics until seeing the movie, to avoid spoilers. Learn to do the same because I'm not going to hold back on spoiling the movie.

Meh. You know, I agree with Xerin here. The voices on the Dub sounded too loud over the back ground noise. The FX and music were too quiet. It really broke the enjoyment for me. Because often times the voices just didnt sound as though they were coming from this world. If cloud was on a bike and speeding down a highway his voice didnt sound as if it were really on a highway speeding by.
I didnt watch the sub. I waited patiently for the dub so I could enjoy the movie completely for the first time. And I have to say immediately I didnt like Tifa's voice. I mean, it was fine. But the director just didn't direct her lines very well.
But holy freaking hell Aeris' voice and delivery was amazing. I was in love completely.
But like Xarin said, Dub voices were too loud over the background noise. That really hurt the experience in my opinion. I dont know if the same is true for the Subtitled version.
I plan on watching Sub now to see.
I was dissapointed with Cait Sith's appearance. Why didn't they give him a new Moogle to ride? Was it too crazy for them to animate or something? Bah.
I noticed Vincent got all the focus (as a supporting character). I wonder why, couldnt be because they want to hype up the new FF7 sequal featuring Vincent.
The story: Was kind of lame... Mother huh. Well guessed it was Jenova right off the bat. Turks. Nice but didnt Tseng die? Hm. The battles were amazing but felt forced in places. One of the villain guys goes to the Aeris garden, well "mother" isnt there. So why does the fight happen anyway? It was a great fight but damn... couldnt he have gotten orders first to get the child thus explaining the action.
Sephiroth returns for like one battle eh? and not even returns I dont know what the **** that was. So his image returns on that dudes body or the dude transformed into Sephi or.. something. Meh. The battle was great and I understand the importance of what Sephiroth was attempting to do I suppose... But it didnt impact me at all.
Bah. So what was the point of the disease again? What was it doing to the kids I cant even remember. I dont even know why they were going after children, I cant recall.
Either way it was a good movie, fantastic action sequences but the story was kind of lame. Seeing Aeris at the end was beautiful because she looked stunning and her voice was perfect. They tease you throughout the whole movie with her presence. Then finally show her at the end.
But some guys looking for the head of Jenova, diseased kids, and the party members hardly got used. It was all about Cloud and Tifa apparently. Heaven forbid Barret, Yuffie, Red, Cid, or anyone else get in on the story and action.
Im just rambling now though. I waited to see this movie for so long and Im pretty dissapointed in it. It was good but it didn't have any impact on me really. I wasnt sad, I wasnt excited, it was just "good".
The only part that even got close to touching my emotions was the Aeris shot at the end. Because that was one of the saddest moments in my Video Game life, at the end of FF7 disc 1.
