Eye Opener - The Goseigers are Weak

My guess is, the original Goseigers might be more omnipotent if they were to give off any signs. It's just that the current Goseigers are made of apprentices who never had a proper training since they were cut-off from the Gosei-world. Even post-series, I'm guessing that the trials they went through still instilled in them an innocent quality which wasn't probably present in their predecessors. Hence Goseiknight always wondering why the current Goseigers decision making was a bit unacceptable.

They may not be as strong as Buraija, but that doesn't mean their heart isn't stronger than anyone else.

I'm not sure I'd expect the original Goseigers to be more powerful. They might be more capable and competent on the surface, but the strength of Alata and the others was in their ability to make miracles happen when the chips were down; that's a quality that I think was meant to stem from their innocence and curiosity. Kind of a 'limitless potential' thing.

I mean, presumably Brajira and his original team were full-fledged Goseigers, and even they had to go to pretty extreme lengths to seal the UMA the first time. Added onto the fact that the UMA are (supposedly) more powerful in the modern day due to the overall crappiness of the planet.

Yep, sorry for the misunderstanding. I never said they were more powerful, but just gave off a "omnipotent sign" or vibe. They may have the poise and confidence that the current Goseigers lacked due to them having the apprentice image, but yeah, I agree with what you said that looking at how Alata and company were able to beat the shows villains even with their stature, they're definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Sorry, but I think that you just can't get lucky beating your opponents all the time not knowing how to battle among other things.

Oh, okay, gotcha. When you say "omnipotent" with regard to celestial beings, it's easy to assume you mean literally. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hahaha yeah, that's what happened when I was thinking of an adjective to best describe the original Goseigers, and "omnipotent" was the first thing to come up since they are angel-like. Even if I just wanted to say that they look that way.

Nobody said they were just getting lucky. They may have at times like when Master Head gave them a hand through a new mecha, but most times they either learned from their past opponents or their heart were just stronger. They were indeed trained to fight, but not at the level of a full-fledged Goseiger. They might have the same level of training, but not wisdom and experience.

that's what I like about the Goseigers, not the fact about them being "weak", but the fact that they're all rookies from the beginning. they're also stuck on Earth and have to protect the humans despite being inexperienced. I actually find it natural that they get beaten down so easily compared to other teams, because after all, they ARE rookies.

my only complain here is the lack of explanation about Gosei World, its culture, lifestyle etc. plus why only send the core five (not forgetting Magis) to Earth for training? I'm pretty sure there are many other apprentices.

Aye Jacks, so do i.

All we know is that Gosei World is like Fluffy Cloud Heaven and it's run by a God who is a big stone head.

Yeah I have no idea if the lack of explanation about Gosei World is intentional or not.

Reasons why it might be intentional: The lifestyle of Gosei World isn't really relevant since the show is purely about what goes on on Earth; anything you do to define heaven will automatically make it seem a lot less mysterious and heavenly.

Reasons why it might not be intentional: Goseiger's already fucked-up production issues; the weird episode with Moune's mom that kinda hinted at what Gosei World is like and kinda counters that thing above about keeping heaven mysterious; the fact that there's a bit of talk about it in the third arc, and the third arc overall seems to reflect a bit more what the show was probably supposed to be.

Uh, Not this again....

Before i start another lash out, why do you feel The Shinkengers and the Goukaigers are good examples of what sentai should be? Cause I think Maskman would own them all :buttrock:

He wasn't saying it was better or worse. He was just comparing the two styles of storytelling.
