My post strictly came from others comments and not the primary post, i know what your getting at, And I was stating my opinion of the other comments and there insistence of using Shinkenger as an example of a "Good sentai" or "Ideal Sentai"

He might have been reacting to a conversation that was going on simultaneously -- I think in the 199 Sentai movie thread -- where some people were talking about Goseigers being weak in an obviously negative way.

I assumed at the time that you started this thread in response to that, but it sounds like maybe it was just a coincidence?

I genuinely find it bemusing. I dislike (say) the Hurricanegers and think they're pretty dull characters, but I could never say "I hate the Hurricanegers" - there just isn't enough personality for that :sweat:

If you're referring to the Gouraijers as part of the Hurricanger team then yeah, Ikkou and Isshu are pretty 2D and bland. But I'm not seeing how Yousuke, Nanami and Kouta lack personality. I'd say they showcased rather a lot of it.

Fair enough. I suppose I don't really find those sorts of dismissively negative comments* to be worthy of response at all. Like you said, there's clearly not that much thought being put into them to begin with; it's just a game of mad libs with (totally smart-sounding synonym for 'bad') in every blank.

I don't think the Hurricangers are without personality, and I quite like them myself. But it's true, I have a hard time imagining anyone hating them. I suppose "dislike" can grow into "hate" if you're one of those people who objects to a year of Sentai being "wasted" on something you'd rather not watch?

Have you even watched Hurricanegers? Saying they don't have personality is pretty wrong. I mean it's not even a matter of opinion in this case. I mean if you don't like their personalities that is one thing, but you saying they have no personality is just flat out wrong.

Buredoran/Burajira was a complete dick, alright. I just kept cheering for the Goseigers endlessly during the Burajira arc. :laugh:
but yeah, when it comes to him going against the other villains, I would be like "**** YEAH!!" though I agree about what he did to Metal Alice was just... Complete Monster much?

I totally agree. He was like, Radiguet from Jetman & Long from Gekiranger all mixed into one. And not to mention that he was the most interesting villain &/or the most interesting character of the lot throughout the entire season of Goseiger. No one could come close to his level of badassery (well, maybe Robogogu & Metal Alice), not even the Goseigers.
