Eye Opener - The Goseigers are Weak

He wasn't saying it was better or worse. He was just comparing the two styles of storytelling.
Its Nothing to do with being better or worse for me, its how people insist on keep beating round the bush trying to find sense in what they couldn't, This discussion is really getting old, thats the show take it or leave it.

These guys beat three evil empires and a psychotic fallen angel and their red had some of the most badass moments of untransformed action that Sentai has seen in nearly a decade. How are they weak? D:

They don't give off an imposing vibe, but I certainly don't think they're weak at all, they're just reserved.

Alata... Bad ass moments? Umm... what? :sly: I mean I liked the guy, but him and bad ass do not go together.

I don't understand what you're angry about. The very fact that discussion is occurring?

I liked the bit where he backhanded the fireball out of suit. Also when he punched the evil out of GoseiKnight, that was pretty coo'.

Yeah I guess those were pretty bad ass.

A. I'm not angry, If i come off as such then it is unintentional.

B. The fact that the discussion is pointless, i personally don't like the "They are weak" line and the insistence on comparing it to a not much better show thats my dilemma.

I think Kivat already admitted that he may have jumped the gun on using the "weak" adjective and clarified that it was actually the fact that the current Goseiger team gave off a "rookie" vibe, which may not necessarily be weak. It's just that the guys on Shinkenger and Gokaigers have more poise and confidence whereas Alata and company are more "nice and innocent" probably because they're supposed to be "angels".

Yeah but like you said, it's not about the show being good or bad. It's just about different ways of writing teams. Whether or not you think Shinkenger is bad (I think it's about as flawed as Goseiger, just in different ways) isn't the issue.

Gokaiger is obviously too early to tell on a quality level. On a badassmanship(tm) level, though, the show clearly wants us to think the characters are competent and organized from ep 1. Even characters like Don and Ahim who shouldn't be especially good fighters are shown doing awesome flippy stuff.

What made Alata cool was in episode 16. Probaly one of the best episode of the whole series.

That was pretty cool. There was also the time he jumped on Robogog while on fire. Good times, good times...

The thing that made Alata badass was the fact that he looked completely like an underdog, yet always ends up cleaning house.
