Embarrassing Ultraman question

I've always been curious about one detail of the Ultraman shows. All Ultramen are an alien race, so when they bond with their host and the host transforms into Ultraman, is it the Alien Ultraman fighting, or the human host? Or is it more like they become one singular being? I hope this isn't too confusing lol.

Not all of them are the same. Some of Ultramen disguised in human appierence. I would tell in more detail but I don't want to spoil anybody.

I believe the Ultraman essentially displaces the human host during transformation, so you can regard the Ultraman as the one "doing the fighting." In some shows the human's spirit clearly guides the Ultraman's actions, though.

This isn't the case with mebius. It's hard to describe certain UM shows with out giving away spoilers.

Yeah, I know it's not the case with Moebius. OP seemed interested in how it works most of the time, though, and in most Ultras I believe you have a situation where an Ultra has bonded with a human.

It's also a question quite relevant to a particular character in Moebius, if not the titular Ultraman himself.
