Dragon Knight in Japanese news

I don't know about the finer details of the show, so I have no idea what else they possibly added.

But I do know that "Shocker" is sometimes a shorthand name for all Kamen Rider enemies used by people (i.e. the media) who don't bother to learn all the individual ones and wouldn't know any better. Cuz seriously people, when I say Rider 1 and his series is the most well-known of all (in Japan), I'm not f---in' kidding!

I think it's a concept that's largely non-existent outside the mainstream media though, anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of the actual individual series probably knows what the bad guys are really called, and I imagine it's completely foreign to online fans, who would probably explode if someone called Den-O's villains "Worms".

So in other words, I think what the article meant was that there'd be new monsters not seen in the original Ryuki series. Which is fine by me, as long as they look cool.

Of course, I could be totally wrong and they really did put Shocker in, in which case Keith? You've got a lot of explaining to do, especially to me.

Then I think it says something about how the original story about 13 riders fighting until 1 is left becoming a typical "good vs. evil" story that's easier for foreign audiences to understand.

I'm fine with that, as long as they do it right. Power Rangers takes that concept to extremes... one can hope they don't go down that path.

I like it when the line is blurred between good and evil though. It makes things more interesting...

Yeah but too much grey gets real dull, real quick. I love action as much as the next guy but I'm not in this just to see a bunch of selfish asshats hit each other. Heroism and defending human life truly rules and I don't see anything that's so awful and uninteresting about being able to trust your good guys to be good guys.

They don't have to over do it with the Anti-Hero/Anti-Villain thing.

If they keep it in the realm of Spidey and Batman...it will be fine.:buttrock:

Fight like there's no tomorrow, Fight for pleasure until you realize its for the wrong reasons, Getting in over your head, Unaware of the situation, Misunderstanding the situation, Fighting your fears and doubts, abusing your power until realizing it can hurt the one closest to you, Fighting for vengence...

Shocker (like Iga explained) most likely just means how they're adding new grunts and monsters. I mean look at those bad boys! That's shocker material dammit!

It's a balance. Xaviax is clearly a no-goodnic. As are some of the Riders who're a bit too selfish. Others devious, others... I don't know at all.
