Dragon Age: Origins

Just got Shale... this dude is never leaving my party. This guys' hilarious. :D

Put all of Shale's attributes into Str. Once you hit 40 (depending on how high you level to) Str. I've gotten over 32000 damage from a single killing blow attack, that's enough to down the end boss in one hit. Shale = Broken, but hillarious

Another nice thing abotu Shale is that she's pretty much three archetypes in one. She can go Ranged, Tank, or melee Damage, so I can always find a place for her on my team. she may have a limited move set, but she's definitely versatile. That said. I didn't use Shale for my end game, because I had her leading the secondary defense team while my main team went on to the final boss.

New DLC announced: Return to Ostagar

Last Thursday, BioWare announced the next DLC add on for the main campaign, I never mentioned it because I never had any real details. It's looking to be about $5 (or your points equivalent) and as the name suggests, will bring you back to where it all began, Ostagar, after the initial darkspawn onslaught, with rumor's of a fellow survivor of the battle. Now overrun with darkspawn, the warden's return to their former home to clean up the mess. Not too much story detail has been released other than that, but it doesn't look like this will be adding on any new characters to your party (at least no one permanent) but you will be able to get another set of special armor and weapons, King Cailan's to be exact, and another change to get Dog if you missed him the first time through.

Whether or not another dungeon and more loot is going to be worth your while is up to the individual to decide, especially since the armor has already been recreated by the fans. I'll probably pick it up myself. After all it's only $5, and cheap, small DLC like this, is what is going to fund the development of EPIC DLC later. Expected this holiday season.

I'd be curious about DLC that adds more to the after the main game story. I wonder if all the two years of DLC they got coming are all "within the game" stories.

There are planned expansions which will add on completely new stories, or possible continuations, but for the most part there are rarely ever any 'post game' add on for BioWare titles outside of expansions, if you look at the NWN titles that's pretty much how they were. There are post game campaigns being worked on by the community (such as reclaiming the Deep Roads, which is pretty much an entirely dwarf-centric camaigns).

Given how many ways the story itself can end, it would be hard to really add on a DLC to expand the story after that, since much like Mass Effect, some people are alive, some people are dead, some people are in relationships. Some people may or may not be traveling together, and some people may never have been met at all. It would be hard to release DLC that you could only use if you got ending 53 of 175.
