Dr. Who - Talk Up!

All I know about the Children in Need special is it's the intro of the new Dr, err no idea his name since I haven't watched any of the 2006 episodes yet. :disappoin Yeah, 1.5gbs is pretty big, that was why I was wondering if it's worth checking out. :

It is. The epsiode serves as a quick intro to the Tenth Doctor, allows him to act the way a Doctor often does post-regeneration, because The Chirstmas Invasion would've overran it's time slot if it had been included within.

Unfortunatly, since CIN is a charity event, the mini episode cannot be shown ever again for profitable reasons, and that includes no DVD release, this happened with "Dimensions In Time" several years ago, which we all know is the crossover with Eastenders and Noel Edmonds.

Is Christmas Invasion worth grabbing the 1.5gb version or does anyone know some place with a bit smaller version of it?

:sly: Did Tom Baker take part in DIT? Just curious since he seems to not want much to do with Doctor Who now. :disappoin Wonder if DIT ever pops up online, I'm kinda curious to check it out now.

he has small cameo near the beginning were he basically tried to warn other that there was a trap and his first two incarnation were already prisinor. I found both parts on Youtube with a little looking

Yes, Baker makes a small apperance in "DIT", but only for part one, Trougton and Harntnell are represented by two floating heads trapped in the space/time vortex.

The fandom does'nt like it that much, but it's an underrated peice right up there with any Doctor Who story, plus the Mitchell Brothers help Romanna hide in their garage, who can hate that?

"School Reunion" aired today, great reunion episde with Sarah, who clearly did'nt move on when The Doctor dumped her at the conclusion of "The Hand Of Fear", something that official tie in novels have played with also. The Doctor is also confronted by Rose over whenever or not she'll be another person he'll ditch, The Doctor explaining he does'nt want them to age and die at his side, since he can live millions of years with the aid of regeneration.

Re: 2005 Episodes and Bad Dog clues.

I'll be using the hide tag from here on out for those who haven't seen all of the 2005 eps and don't want to be spoiled.

[hide]Now, I know that Bad Dog has been part of the 2005 season of Doctor Who. What I still don't get, and mostly it's because I haven't seen all of the 2005 eps (only up to Boom Town), is what was Bad Dog? Were the Bad Dog references to Torchwood, the Daleks or something else? From my understanding, the secrets of Bad Dog wasn't really revealed in The Christmas Invasion and is still being revealed as with the episode Tooth and Claw.

The Bad Wolf secret is revealed at the end of Eccleston's run as the Doctor. I will say it has nothing to do with Torchwood, and it has SOMETHING to do with the Daleks, depending on your point of view. So it was completely resolved at the end of the 2005 season. Keep watching on Sci-Fi to see how it plays out. :buttrock:

Incidently, anyone know where to get the Christmas Invasion? I didn't see it on Mininova.
