Doctor Who -Talk Up! (General Discussion)

Definitely the best Christmas special yet.

I find it hard to watch any of the NuWho since Matt's/Moffat's debut. The new production values surpass anything than before. And season six looks terrific.

I <3 you Moffat, please don't leave us.

I loved the christmas special, I dare say it's one of the few times the show has actually made me forget everything I've learnt about special effects or behind the scenes action, it totally immersed me into a suspension of belief, not just because visually it looks amazing, but the story and warmth that came from it, as cheesy as that sounds I really loved how time travel was used and how it changed the man's perspective.

I really enjoyed this special alot, way better than RTD's to be honest. I'm forward to the first half of Season 6.

I want one of these flying shark with laser attaches to it... >:D

Excellent Christmas special, though judging from some comments around the web it might be a bit of a marmite or "Love it or Hate it" one as a story, overall.

One more Confidential clip: As one last act, Charlie and the Confidential crew decide to get gifts for Matt, Karen and Arthur; and although some are fairly mundane choices, Matt has a special request:

I really enjoyed Christmas special a lot more than I expected! This special has got so much warmth in it. Nearly got me teary-eyed from all the story. Oh, Steven Moffat, that brilliant guy! :castlerock:

Wasn't really a fan of this special. The only cool thing was that shark.

I think the X-Mas specials have gone downhill since the Titanic one.

Thought it was pretty cool and had some clever lines in it, but I liked the Tennant Christmas specials more.

And hate to be my broken record self, but Rory is a blackhole of energy. Evident by the forced "chemistry" between him and Pond and by that last scene where Rory goes in to the Tardis and Amy and The Doctor are left outside... the two positively light up with onscreen energy and made me smile.

What sucks is that I didn't know we had to wait 'til spring for the new season to start. :P
