Do some sentai fans hate power rangers?

I know a lot of people are gonna say "Oh, you're not a real fan of PR. You're a sellout Sentai fan who just cant bear the wire fu and endless explosions" Nothing can be farther from the truth, Im a huge fan of PR, but the PR of the glory days. Now its just mindless action. I know its for kids too. But the older shows were just more entertaining, especially IS, LG, and TF.

I won't be surprised if Poweranimals would actually say like that.

Agreed on some parts, really hate the " Superior " quotes they chuck at it, Of course its going to be better, I really haven't seen someone do a Better spin-off than the Original.

Theres a Plus side to Power Rangers though, you don't have to read Subtitles all the time, and you can understand what they're saying.

Like I said, I stopped watching after the first 4 episodes of Wild Force, and I think what really hurt me wasn't just how awful it was, but that it had so much potential to be good. Awesome weapons, pretty cool costumes (If you overlook the fact that the shark and bison had claws, wtf?) and a really cool crystal summon type thing reminicent of the Dragon Dagger, then it just spiraled down into oblivion with horrible acting and inane plot.

Yeah, some Sentai fans hate Power Rangers, but you know what? Some Sentai fans also hate getting their nipples covered in whipped cream and getting it licked off by these two twin chicks that work down at the Applebee's.

But you know what I say to those people? I say, "**** you," 'cause I don't like those people.

I like some sentai and PR and hate some sentai and PR equally.

I'm a big Sentai fan, and I'd rather have Sentai over PR any day, but there are some things I like better about PR. One example is Time Force, I thought the characters in Timeranger were pretty boring, but they were interesting in Time Force. I also liked Ransik better as the villain. On the other hand, I DESPISE Battlizers.

I can completely understand why Sentai fans would hate PR. When I first got into Sentai last summer I avoided Power Rangers because the first Sentai I watched was Dekaranger, so I thought that a good way to compare the two would be to say "Sentai is about kidnapping and terrorism, while Power Rangers is about homework and mountain bikes."

the acting and voice-acting in recent PR is crap. i can't watch without cringing.

I tend to disagree. I don't hate the battlizer itself, but the way the battlizer has been used over the years. It has never been used to its full potential (except, I would think, during Lost Galaxy, now THAT was a kickass battle!) and is just relegated to the back of the arsenal, even though its an awesome weapon.
