Desktops or Laptops?

If given a choice between the two, would you by a Laptop or a Desktop? And why?

Personally I'd take a desktop any day, it can be easily maintained and altered to suit you, it can run for long hours without a glitch and is definitely more reliable in the games department.

if I had the money, I'd get both of them!
desktop: lasts longer. I had one which lasted me five years+ until the motherboard crashed.
laptop: I can use it anywhere so long the area has wireless.

I'd prefer a Laptop instead of a Desktop. Because you can travel with your laptop and and take it anywhere where ever you go.

Desktop. Laptops are an abomination. You can't repair them easily, they're a pain in the dick to clean, and the only plus they have is that they're portable.

I got my first laptop for Christmas last year, and while it's reliable, I absolutely will never own another one.

I like both, it just depends on what I'm doing really. I think my likes balance out, unless I'm traveling, then I appreciate my laptop more.
