Dear RPG Section, Speaking From the Heart...

Do not short change yourself with that talk for starters, CA-kun. Secondly, think of an idea what you want to base it on like a sentai, kamen rider....etc...or be an original concept base on one of the idea. Go wild! Once you've got that what you need to think next is the story line. It need not be 'fan-fiction' detail, but information enough to grab potential rpers attention. For that gives them the fundamentals needed to creare their character(s). Lastly the rules of the game. Every one needs rules that to be shared by everyone. May I suggest that the sign-up sheet be also your OOC chat, for many of the past rpgs have been cluttered.

But the most important thing of an rpg....HAVE FUN!!!

Well, thanks for the advice. I still need to pump up some more confidence with my performance and then... I'll begin an RP.

RP's are all about one thing.
Having Fun.
When it stops being fun, no one wants to be a part of it.
I think that gets forgotten often.
But in my experience, just when things look hopeless.
That one idea shines in and everyone remembers to smile.

It would be nice to see member sof staff here helping out, but I won't hold my breath.

On another note, I'm still a newbie to the HJU and have constantly been looking to join RP's I've bene in about 3 RP's which have unfortunately died. I'm willing to help out in the effort and believe that this place could be great if we put in the work. Of course there is only so much we, as members, can do, but we need to become a strong unit and enforce our message.

After two attempts at making RPGs of my own, with neither even getting started, I've become rather discouraged from even trying to make them anymore. If I'm gonna make an RPG, I want to do it while most of the time using already-created characters, as opposed to original characters, but that doesn't seem to work too much, which rather saddens me.

Part of it's just bad timing, and personal issues. I've seen a lot of promising RPGs (both some of mine and others) come up short when something intervenes and things either come to a screeching halt or just never regain their momentum.

I kinda lost interest in RPGing anymore. I created a full one....and finished it. But creators from other places always take credit for what they did if they finished it. As much as I am proud of it, NO WAY could it have happened without all of the members. I try to give equal power to everyone. No one can always post, it happens! We have lives and sometimes, people don't get that and get upset when u don't post.

Well, I take that back. U shuld at least tell people if you won't post.

So I wish I could help in this cause Zaku, but I do a lot of FanFics now and find those more fun to do. I envy what your trying to do here and truly it is a great thing. And I want to help out however I can.

But I will also say this. The member is JUST as important as its creator. THe members can make the story. In the RPG I did, the members made the story. It was a RP where we travled through different worlds, and I had each member help create the story for the world. Of course there were guidelines, but other than that, I never fized things, it was THEIRS. And that is another thing I think needs to be established here.

I think a big problem now is classes are just ending and begining again.
I think around August the RPG section will be in bloom again.
At least until holidays start up.

I'm happy everythings starting to work out and now I believe the rpg section will be better then ever. And I got a few rp ideas going around through my head. My rp skills aren't great but I can come up with few ideas for people to bend to there own work I've actually been working on a idea utilizing the card suits (no not a blade rp)
