Still WAAAAAAAAAAAY better than Ninja Storm and this is only Bruce's first shot.

I still love NinjaStorm OVER DT. And Its still debatable which I love more at this moment. Because I cant accurately say that until I see SPD through to the end. But I loved Ninja Storm with a passion. Its one of few seasons of Power Rangers that I can honestly pick up any episode from the entire season and still enjoy watching. It had that magic with it that it was fun to watch it even if it was a rerun. Could it have been better? Yes. But I love it anyway.

Now I read through Funaroboard a while back and its just a "meh" place. Mainly because Stack is nuts. Hes a great guy but dammit his views against Bruce and SPD are... moronic at best.

Like one of his comments was that Bruce wasnt using NZ to his full potential. There werent enough forest scenes. That the point of going to NZ was to use the scenery and that Bruce was shitting all over that by putting the series into a city setting and the future. Well dammit, that makes no sense because its a Police themed season. Police doesnt = magical forests and beach side caves. I mean wtf. Of course its going to be set in a city with high tech stuff. Who honestly cares about what locations Bruce uses.

But now think about this, of course NS used the forests because it was a ninja theme. DT was half half because it was mostly city stuff but it also did lots of forests. Police isnt exactly a forest setting. Next year is MysticForce. I have a feeling Stack will have all the forests he can ever want as that type of setting fits the theme.

I mean I have yet to read a solid argument against SPD on FunaroBoard. Its mostly reaching and grabbing for anything they can find to hate the season. For what reason? I dont know. I honestly feel Funaro is the one doing the ass kissing and just kissing doug's ass. I love Doug. But Im not going to hate the new guy just because Doug bowed out. Bruce is doing a good job so far. Yes there's been a few interesting problems with SPD that fans are concerned over. Maybe those will be addressed by the end of the show. Who knows!

Thats why I cant say how I would rank SPD until I see it to the end. I like what I've seen of SPD so far but... as Pupperazzi put it, SPD has been in a downward spiral for me since Perspective. I hated Perspective, I didnt like Messenger that much. Zapped was kewl. I did like that one. I dont know if I liked Wormhole. I loved the action but the Continuity and Consistancy needs serious explaining.

But hey, SPD might pull out of the spiral with Reflections and start owning. We have lots of great episodes coming all the way till the finale so it has a huge chance to make some impact.

Part of me wishes Doug would come back to help. I dont want Doug back, personally, as a head producer though. I just simply didnt like Doug's story management and seasonal plot designs. Doug had good ideas for DT but they fell apart. Partly because of Tommy being absent and partly being because of forgetful writing that didnt even touch upon these loose ends until it was convenient.

But I think if Bruce called Doug back in to help, write some episodes, and plan out a Seasonal Story arc WITH Bruce then we could have something magical.

In fact, that's what Im hoping Bruce does. I dont want Doug back in the head chair. Like I said, I liked part of what Doug brought us but I dont think Doug excelled at it. But Doug knows enough about whats going on that he could help Bruce alot and these little mistakes wouldnt be made.

Next year is a Magic themed season. Mystic Force. If it's one thing Disney knows best its Magic. Their movies are aroung magic, their premise is magic. It's something they've done best. And magiranger is a season filled with magic and heart. Something Disney could easily adapt into one of the best seasons of Power Rangers ever... EVER. I hope they take advantage of that. I seriously hope Bruce learned from his mistakes on SPD and tries his absolute 110% best on Mystic Force to make it one of the most memorable seasons we've had in a while.

There's no need to **** on anything here. We dont need dark stories. Darkness doesnt always = GREAT writing! But as long as the series is mature, funny, enjoyable, and written well then it will be bad ass. Its not the tone of the mood that makes the episode great, its how well its written.

Bruce and them have restrictions because of sentai footage they have to use and their writing has to go around that and make sense with it. But Magiranger is so open to original writing for PR that they can easily open up and write more creative things next season. So, I'm one guy hoping Mystic Force surpasses all expectations. That's my #1 hope.

And the one guy who could help with that is Doug. I love Ninja Storm. And if it's one thing Mystic Force will need is a great cast like Ninja Storm had. Best cast ever. I still enjoy watching them.

Imagine what it may have been like had Bruce been a producer on DT with Doug there as well. We would have had all the same storylines but perhaps they would have been brought out in a better way as not to just drop them only to bring them back up several episodes later.

Its hard to describe that because I dont want it to come off as saying I want Doug back at the helm and leading PR again. I prefer Bruce's work more, I think. Bruce has a more defined vision of what he wants to do on a season. He gets his stories straight and goes for those stories. But if you had Doug there to help him, it couldnt be that bad at all.

Im really dissapointed he didnt have Doug come back to write the Team up for DT and SPD. That was bad. But maybe they didnt get along when they worked together briefly on DT's Isnt It Lavaly.

I mean if you look at Isnt It Lavaly, Bruce had a great idea and was going somewhere with Zeltrax. But that Zeltrax plot was dropped immediately after that episode and he wasnt seen again until the Finale.

But then again... foreshadowing anyone? Notice how they mistakenly use Stegazord when it was supposed to be under White Rangers control in that episode. Perhaps a hint of mistakes to come in SPD? Now Im just rambling

Dammit. How come I ramble so much? This isnt even about Doug or DT or whatever. Its about Funaro and Keith. Sooo uh. What was I saying?

Yeah. Funaroboard is ok. Their views are really... eh. Really stretching it. They more so bitch and nit pick rather than give real reasons why they hate the episodes and Bruce.

But I like Crayfish and Stack. Those guys are smart and know their shizzle. It just surprises me they are being so biased. I wish I understood them better.
