Chris Pine as Hal Jorden/Green Lantern?

unless the action is frakking awesome, the green lantern movie will probably CHOKE at the box office so no need for a movie...

Yeah this is the point in it's production to say there is no need for a movie. No filming done, no set cast, no script.... :redface2:

I still think David Boreanaz should get it.

I thought it was confirmed for a while that the part was his. Personally I'd like it if Jamie Bamber or Jensen Ackles got the part.

Anyway do not expect anything amazing from this movie, its pretty much Iron Man 2 or Spider-Man 4. And Pine is an appropriate choice for Hal in Green Lantern gone Spider-Man type film.

Also heres the list of all the Lanterns you'll see in this movie:
Alan Scott (Yes the Golden Age Lantern is present in this movie as a supporting role not just a small cameo, he's a little like Hal's mentor)
Hal Jordan (obviously)
Sinestro
Kilowog

no script.... :redface2:

Wrong there the subpar script has been done for a while now, 06? 07? It was a painfully boring read, it borrows a lot from Emerald Dawn. I posted a page of it a while back here.

EDIT: Scratch that it started '06 or '07, finished Early '08.

That really doesn't matter. Scripts are changed and rewritten all the time.

Of course the script matters. Its obvious that scripts do change but usually not this late, in this stage only little will change unless the entire project gets scrapped all together and put in production hell. Even less will change once shooting begins. The studio likes the current Green Lantern gone Iron Man script, thats the one they paid for, thats the one they are going with. The only way they will go with another script is if the entire project is scrapped and put in production hell for years to come like what happened with Watchmen multiple times and what happened with the first Spider-Man. Or if something incredibly unlikely happens that an amazing original screenplay comes out of the blue in their hands and it is so incredibly good that they throw everything they have now out the window and use that one.

I never said the script didn't matter. I said that it doesn't matter that there is one written now. I meant that any script they have now could be changed at any time. And how do you know it's the script they are going with? Do you have some inside source that stated "THIS SCRIPT IS SET IN STONE NO CHANGES WILL BE MADE"?

Then I misunderstood what you meant by "That really doesn't matter". Don't exaggerate things, I said in this stage only little changes will be made. Such as maybe they'll cut out a few scenes, dialogue will be expanded or shortened, or a few scenes will be reworked. The general plot will be still remain the same. Once shooting starts the only things that will change is dialogue and how the scenes are blocked (and from here on its usually up to the director, it helps if the writer(s) are there too on occasions). Unless something incredibly unlikely happens.

And I don't know maybe because in just about every news source on the film it says right there that this script is the script they are going with.

Green Lantern written by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green.

And guess what it says on the cover page?
