The Interview gets limited theater releases! Speaking of released things here is part 10!

Episode 28:

At a theme park a clown/mime hybrid with an eye patch does his routine which school girls seem to like. Pink shows up and spooks him. Cut to Aton and Megiddo talking with Chimera laughing at the latter. Megiddo summons Striped Mosquito Shinka from his mosquito form and Kar has him go off. At some pharmacy a boy gets mosquito bites badly followed by the cashier and the boy's mother. Random people around Tokyo get mosquito bites too that make them itchy. Soon everyone turns green and acts very sluggish. The heroes soon find this out upon seeing the preschoolers at a park. Yellow tries giving some kids water, but it does not work. The team looks around town for people that need them and if anything is off. Pink soon finds a teacher and preschool girl before the former gets mosquito bites too. Pink accidentally moves a compact mirror which reflects sunlight into Striped Mosquito Shinka, making him dizzy and returning him to human size. Pink uses the mirror to blind him and make him run before chasing after him and transforming. Tail soldiers show up followed by the men. Suddenly the mime clown is spotted briefly before we see Aton complaining about the heroes finding out. Megiddo gives Striped Mosquito Shinka a pair of giant sunglasses and the rampage continues.

At the Invention Center Dr. Yumeno contemplates about how to fix the situation. Pink comes up with the idea of becoming a mime clown herself which gains Megiddo's attention so he sends his squad after her. Getting be defeated by a transparent umbrella? How disappointing. Pink transforms and the men show up with all of them using giant magnifying glasses to stun Striped Mosquito Shinka. After this they jump on a rollercoaster for intros, complete with explosions which somehow don't damage the ride, and random carnival folk appear to help Striped Mosquito Shinka- Wait, that music, it's Night on Bald Mountain again! And they brought the Universal Classic Monsters too! Seeing Red fight Heracles, Dracula, and Peter Pan was just plain awesome. For the second time in the series Black resorts to using his armor which is used against the Wolf Man, a clown, and a female pirate, the last one manages to literally kick him around until he uses his web attack. Eventually the costumed folks are revealed to be tail soldiers and Pink chases Striped Mosquito Shinka. During the duel she encases her saber in energy which causes a random explosion without directing it followed by the Super Dynamite. Striped Mosquito Shinka grows, Red calls Dyjupiter, and DR is used once Mach, Mobile, and Garry come together. Striped Mosquito Shinka tries fighting, but DR uses the Dyna Shield to reflect sunlight in his face and then punch him before his destruction at the hands of the Fall. Gotta love the changed environments. The episode ends with the townspeople riding canoes because why not. Next episode shows Chimera without her helmet on and Cactus Shinka doing voodoo.

Episode 29:

Chimera goes for a skinny dip in the ocean when Black spots her. She teleports off soon after, Cut to the Invention Center where Pink wears Chimera's clothes to spook Dr. Yumeno and at Grangizmo Megiddo does not hold back at teasing her. After Megiddo gets smacked Chimera goes on an angry rant and begs Aton to have her clothes returned. Meanwhile, Pink soon suffers from heart pain with a monitor showing random people around Tokyo are also suffering the same thing. We soon find out it is Cactus Shinka hammering a nail into a voodoo doll until Black kicks him. The men show up and Chimera reveals the voodoo dolls apply to anyone that wears red and soon more dolls are given nails. Chimera demands they return her clothes as the men are in agony, but the throw their dynarods to de-nail the voodoo dolls. Chimera takes Cactus Shinka and teleports off. At the Invention Center Pink wakes up, but is still in pain. Chimera contacts them on a monitor saying they are torturing her with another voodoo doll and will continue to do so. Cactus Shinka also sews the red clothing on the doll so it cannot be removed and some ransom is demanded I think. Black blames himself for this. Above ground at the preschool the kids play on Atari 2600s when one of them starts getting heart pains with Dr. Yumeno also getting them. Black realizes Pink drove off to find Chimera by herself. Sure enough she sees Pink in the distance with Red, Blue, and Yellow showing up separately. Cactus Shinka is told to nail faster which hurts them more.

The voodoo continues to torture them. Pink soon meets Chimera demanding she lets her commrades go. Instead she just whips her until Black throws a shuriken and rides on a white horse with a white robe on. Tail soldiers fail to take him down. Soon Black cuts the dolls in half and gives a speech. At this point the heroes go fight happy and Black gives Pink her regular clothes so she can change behind a bush. Pink gives Chimera's clothes back with her running off to change as well. After that Black and Pink transform so intros can happen. Cactus Shinka unleashes spines only to be dyna kicked and receive the Super Dynamite. Cactus Shinka grows with Red summoning Dyjupiter and the team boarding once it lands and Mach, Mobile, and Garry forming DR. Cactus Shinka fires his spines like crazy with him and DR clashing with their hammers. DR manages to use the Dyna Hammer to stun Cactus Shinka long enough to destroy him with the Fall. After that the team walks through the park and Pink freaks out from a red shirt with Black teasing her by treating her like a fighting bull only to get himself tossed. Next episode shows Thorn Any Shinka fighting Yellow and Megiddo and Chimera reading a book.

Episode 30:

Stock footage of gransquitos and the Dynamen fighting tail soldiers and Moth Shinka play before Kar calls in Thorn Ant Shinka. Aton wants Thorn Ant Shinka to do well so before he leaves with his pencil. Using videos of the previous episode Thorn Ant Shinka studies the heroes and their moves, but finds studying too hard. Lots of stock footage here and talks about their various weapons. Sometime later the team wipes out some mooks and Thorn Ant Shinka stands ona hill proclaiming he will beat them. Yellow challenges him to a duel and his weapons are cancelled out by Thorn Ant Shinka's large pencil. Yellow is upset and Megiddo pulls out a book of his own circling grades. Pink uses her energy butterflies and it turns out he wore ear plugs. Blue crashes into a rock on his board. Black uses his mimic power and Thorn Ant Shinka bonks the middle one like anyone should. Red tries his luck only for his swords to be taken by a giant magnet. Megiddo finds this impressive before the heroes use the Mach Dash. However, the tides soon turn as they do a fake Mach Dash followed by dyna kicking him down a hill. After Megiddo throws a fit, the Dynamen feel he is not worth their time anymore and he walks off crying. Cut to the preschool where the kids assemble for television. On it is the battle between the Dynamen and Dinosaur Shinka which Red is caught off guard by. Meanwhile, Thorn Ant Shinka breaks down and Megiddo and Chimera try calming him down to no avail. As he stresses out Kar starts throwing a fit through a monitor and Thorn Ant Shinka grows thorns on his body.

The team tides around until they spot tail soldiers guarding a mansion. They soon beat them up with Pink tying the tails of a pair together because animal cruelty. After that they transform and bust down a door where the find Megiddo, Chimera, and Thorn Ant Shinka with the last leading them to an open field so intros can happen. Thorn Ant Shinka shocks them with his body thorns after they hit the heroes followed by mouth rockets that emit green smoke. During this we see a flashback of the team and Dr. Yumeno training new martial arts ideas before the actual fight continues. Red slices Thorn Ant Shinka's headband and pencil in half with the others using their weapons. After Red does a quick attack of his own the flying kicks happen and Megiddo walks off angrily as the Super Dynamite is used. Thorn Ant Shinka becomes big with Dyjupiter coming to Red's call followed by beaming up and Mach, Moile, and Garry launching to form DR. Black and Blue laugh at Thorn Ant Shinka having a shovel, but the area goes dark somehow with DR soon catching him because of searchlights in the eyes. Once DR uses the Dyna Flash to stun Thorn Ant Shinka he is terminated by the Fall. The episode ends with Dr. Yumeno teaching math through a fake television. Next episode shows Mantis Shinka attacking.

Christmas will be upon us tomorrow! Here is a present in the form of part 11!

Episode 31:

Some woman answers her door bell and the Evilution Empire walks in. Megiddo talks to the couple of the household while Mantis Shinka sharpens his kamas. Cut to the preschool where Red gives kendo lessons and one boy manages to win. Yellow and Pink walk over with snacks while Dr. Yumeno talks to Red for a bit. During this the man of the house and Megiddo talk and Chimera getting impatient. Apparently they promised something pertaining to Red and they start giving threats with Mantis Shinka laughing. At Grangizmo Kar sees Red riding his motorcycle on the monitor and requests to Aton he do something. Kar tries making a compelling case I think. At the house one of the preschoolers is about to come in, not aware his parents are talking to the villains and Megiddo is.... drinking a glass of white wine? The boy comes in with Red who drove him home. After that his parents give him a cake with a rocket on it, guess it was his birthday. The dad is about to give out drinks with Megiddo and Chimera watching and when he knocks a glass over it evaporates. Suddenly tail soldiers restrain Red with chains that emit electricity and drag him outside. Mantis Shinka jumps out a window on the second floor to assist his squad. Megiddo orders his execution which was about to occur, but the other Dynamen showed up to save him. Red transforms while the family attempts running away into the hills only for Chimera and Megiddo to catch them. Chimera teleports off with their son with Megiddo telling them to kill Red if they want him back alive.

Red spots the grieving parents who are tempted to push him off a cliff. As it turns out they were tail soldiers who miserably failed. Just as the others show up the two explain their story that they ran away from the Evilution Empire for a simpler life. I am not sure if they mention if their son is biological or adopted. An arrow is struck close to them and it is revealed to be a map of where the boy is. Red heads off alone on the Dynafalcon while pushing tail soldiers' heads in the dirt by force. Mantis Shinka interrupts his ride with Megiddo and Chimera holding the boy hostage. The tail soldiers use electric chains again, this time with kamas on them. Suddenly Mantis Shinka beats up two of his men who were taking the boy when Black shows up to kick him. The others arrive on the Dynamachine to assist him. The two men in question were actually the parents trying to save their child. Red scolds Megiddo and Chimera before the Dynamen give their intros and continue fighting mooks. Mantis Shinka fires eye bolts from both front and back, but Black stuns him long enough for the Super Dynamite to be used. Mantis Shinka grows, Red summons Dyjupiter, and Mach, Mobile, and Garry launch from it after the team boards so DR can be used. Mantis Shinka goes energy bolt heavy before going melee, but the Dyna Knuckle stuns him long enough for DR to execute him via the Fall. The episode ends with the family moving and thanking the team for saving them. Next episode shows a guy with a big gun, someone hanging from a helicopter, and Spider Shinka walking on the outside of a building.

Mantis Shinka: Powers include a pair of kamas, energy bolts from the eyes on the head and torso, a pair of boomerang mantis arms, and size changing

Episode 32:

Red rides a one-man home-made helicopter with the others and preschoolers cheering him on. After he lands some older kids waltz over and tell Dr. Yumeno about something. Cut to some guy with glasses firing a double barreled gun which destroys and island with two tail soldier sin disguise being impressed while the heroes watch horrified. Once the tail soldiers' covers are blown the team transforms. Glasses guy is terrified and the team tries talking to him when Megiddo and Spider Shinka show up with more tail soldiers. Glasses guy puts his gun in a case and tries running off during the attack. Dr. Yumeno takes glasses guy to his car and drives off. Later at Grangizmo Aton is furious with Megiddo and Spider Shinka letting the Dynamen find out about their plans. Kar sees heavily wasted potential. Meanwhile, glasses guy is taken to the preschool ashamed he almost sold his gun to evil although Dr. Yumeno tries to make him fele less guilty only for him to run away. As he runs through the city Spider Shinka nabs him when the heroes show up. Glasses guy is rescued and the kids from earlier take his briefcase amonst the chaos. Tail soldiers chase them with the team fending off mooks. Megiddo sicks an attack helicopter with a tail soldier throwing grenades followed by a squad on motorcycles and.... Gizmoquitos? We have not seen those in a long while! (does Toei hate villain aerial fighters?) So many explosions. Black uses a rope to hang onto the helicopter and the grenade thrower tries to yank him off. Eventually Black is shot at and falls down a cliff.

The three kids manage to bury the gun and throw the case off a cliff. Upon trying to find refuge in a trailer Megiddo waits for them with glasses guy being tied with rope and gagged with masking tape listening in. Megiddo takes the kids outside when the Dynamen show up so Red can give a speech before intros and tail soldier beat ups. The Dynafalcon and Dynamachine charge forward complete with explosions. Megiddo gets the super gun only for Red to kick it. The attack helicopter returns to bombard with grenades until dynarods are thrown at it, blowing it up. Mook fighting continues with so much slow motion. Spider Shinka uses explosive eye flashes and webs while on a cliff-side, but Red knocks him off with his swords followed by a dynarod gun combo and the Super Dynamite. Spider Shinka grows giant size- wow I just noticed how big his teeth are. Anyway, Red calls for Dyjupiter and upon landing the team boards and DR forms once Mach, Mobile, and Garry combine. Spider Shinka goes missile and web happy, but DR just retaliates with a Dyna Flash and destroys him using the Fall. The episode ends with glasses guy riding a new home-made chopper (guess they just found him) and it crashes into some bushes before taking off. Next episode shows an exploding city and Mammoth Shinka on a rampage.

Spider Shinka: Powers include wall crawling explosive flashes from the eight eyes, abdomen webs, size changing, and arm missiles

Episode 33:

Two tail soldiers run away from something and warn Megiddo not to get near. Turns out it is Mammoth Shinka who is in a jail cell chained up. Megiddo releases him from his cage and chains with his sword. However, Mammoth Shinka is not grateful, rather he charges out. Chimera panics while telling Aton. Kar thinks there is a traitor among them. Cut to Mammoth Shinka deestroying an oil refinery with the Dynamen witnessing it. He stomps hard enough to cause faults before the one sided fight that leaves the heroes helpless. Megiddo and some tail soldiers show up to make things worse. However, Mammoth Shinka scares the squad away and steps on them like pancakes. At Grangizmo Aton finds out Megiddo released Mammoth Shinka and Kar comes with the sliced chains. Meanwhile, Mammoth Shinka destroys a random lab and is squirted with white gunk when Megiddo shows up with his shackles to restrain him. Mammoth Shinka charges through and the Dynamen show up. Megiddo tells them he wants to stop him too, but they do not care and run to save civilians. At a field some old man manages to restrain Mammoth Shinka who turns out to be Red. Not wanting to lose him Red cuffs himself to Mammoth Shinka and is dragged off. Chimera appears and mocks Megiddo at failing. Red gets thrown around while at Grangizmo Megiddo begs for forgiveness when the tail soldiers start screaming in pain. At the preschool the children are lying down sick with fevers. Black remembers the attack of the lab and realize some disease must have been unleashed.

The tail soldiers try taking care of their sick. Kar demands the execute Megiddo for incompetence. Megiddo in turn says he will retrieve Mammoth Shinka who is beating up Red rather violently. Megiddo and two tail soldiers arrive via a jeep with one having a bazooka and he tells Red about the sickness. Both start running from the bazooka shots and come to a dead end at a cliff. At the momenth of fire the bazooka hits their chains and Dyjupiter shows up. The others beam down and Red transforms which allows intros to happen. The team flunks at holding him off until Red starts laying the smack down single handedly followed by the Super Dynamite. Mammoth Shinka grows and the team boards back to Dyjupiter so Mach, Mobile, and Garry combine into DR. Mammoth Shinka uses freezing mist from his trunk which freezes DR until it decides to heat up. One Dyna Flash later and DR terminates Mammoth Shinka with the Fall. On the ground Dr. Yumeno tells the team the kids are doing better. Kar, now wearing a helmet, looks from afar saying he will destroy them soon. Next episode shows Kar using a new machine and sending Missile Crayfish after the heroes.

My thoughts on Kar have not changed although starting from episode 34 he seems to actually do stuff other than be the mad scientist. Megiddo is kind of annoying in the variety of being very cocky and having little regard for others, not even the death of his body guards or his men getting sick. Since I know he'll get locked up soon I look forward. Chimera keeps her potential to a standstill, still doing stuff but rarely extraordinary. I am now convinced the Grangizmo is likely stuck in the volcano or not functioning since it has barely even moved since the beginning of the series. That and I would not be surprised if taking over Japan leads to world conquest because its military is not as big as other industrialized nations and the territory is quite small. Now for the heroes. Dr. Yumeno is a worth successor to previous mentors. Red and Pink get too much screen time while Black and Blue get reasonable amounts. Yellow is almost forgotten about for some reason, it makes you wonder if Toei just hates him or something. The episode with the defecting tail soldiers was nice since the only other time I recall grunts defecting was an early episode of Gorenger. I also like how they have been trying to make the kaiju battles appear more perilous even if DR always wins; I do find it odd that Garry has no weapons. With that all said we have not had a dumb joke picture for this series yet so here it is.

Ultraman Ginga S has ended! While wishing everyone a happy holidays here is part 12!

Episode 34:

The preschoolers and Red go camping while Kar makes a new laser beam device for the Progressor Machine. He tells Aton it will turn Evolution Beasts into Mecha-Evolution Beasts via fusing life soup with weapons to fight the Dynamen, Megiddo is amused. The machine activates and forms Missile Crayfish. Later, Missile Crayfish is on a rooftop looking for targets. Upon firing three missiles from his back everything they hit freezes in place. Red gets word of this and had to leave the camp. The team meets up before being flung around by Missile Crayfish. A volcano becomes active nearby and starts a fissure which spawns a fire ball that was really Kar. Man he looks spiffy in that helmet and cape. Chimera and Megiddo join him soon after. Missile Crayfish uses his back missiles to freeze the heroes in place as Kar explains how boned they are. Soon they break free and throw dynarods which do nothing followed by the same result with the Super Dynamite. Kar demands they give up when Dyjupiter shows up to fire a missile from each wing so they can escape. Meanwhile, a good chunk of the city suddenly disappears. At the Invention Center Dr. Yumeno is concerned that the Super Dynamite failed. Fed brings out a map of affected areas and runs back to the camping kids who are starving. While biking, Red is attacked by Missile Crayfish and crashes in a nearby lake. Soon it rains and the kids become more worried. Red manages to get out of the water come nightfall and barely arrives back at the Invention Center. One the monitor he manages to use stock footage of when he was attacked to analyze a potential weakness in the time stopping missiles.

Red rides out the next day and counts down the seconds to when the missiles are fired. He jumps off and uses the Mach Dash to outrun the missiles. He soon manages to kick Missile Crayfish and the others show up to do intros. Missile Crayfish gets dyna kicked although it has no effect on him. Missile Crayfish arsenal spams the Dynamen and lead his missiles back at him. This leads Missile Crayfish down a hill where he blows up. Kar throws a fit and spins a wheel on the Progressor Machine, sending Missile Crayfish's body parts into the Grangizmo where they are put back together and grown to giant size with him sent out via a fissure. Red calls Dyjupiter so Mach, Mobile, and Garry launch to become DR. Missile Crayfish takes DR's melee attacks like nothing and fires time stopping missiles. However, DR manages to shrug it off and throw a spiked ball of energy called the Dyna Fire Dragon which explodes in Missile Crayfish's face. This allows DR to use the fall on Missile Crayfish which ends him in an explosion At the camp site the heroes find the preschoolers and it turns out they are okay. Next episode shows Guillotine Lizard fighting the team and a little girl held hostage.

Missile Crayfish: Powers include three missiles from the back that stop time, reinforced armor, pincer claw hands, a pair of machine guns in each wrist, and a missile launcher in each shoulder

Episode 35:

Red practices kendo by himself in the woods. A hiker and his daughter pass by and Red knows him. Some guy decides to follow Red's friend. Cut to the Invention Center where the team talks about it because.... At Garngizmo Kar has Guillotine Lizard spawned. Kar mentions something called denraito to Aton before we see Red talk to the hiker at his home. Blue and Yellow held up in the air by bald guy and spun around before being thrown. Blue is accidentally thrown into a squad of tail soldiers when Megiddo shows up and unleashes Guillotine Lizard on them. Chimera follows the hiker, daughter, and bald guy, the last of which fights grunts himself with martial arts. Chimera eventually fights him off with her whip which only stuns him. The team shows up to rescue them and fight off Guillotine Lizard who survives the Super Dynamite. Later we see bald guy being lied down in hiker's home who insist that the team leaves him alone. The denraito, whatever that is, gets mentioned and bald guy leads the daughter away. At Grangizmo Chimera uses the monitor to show stockfootage of the battle to demonstrate bald guy's durability. After that Megiddo and Guillotine Lizard show up with a squad of tail soldiers to take on bald guy. The Dynamen show up to save them. Guillotine Lizard manages to catch bald guy while the daughter runs away. The heroes transform and dyna kick Guillotine Lizard. Megiddo prevents further interference as the two fight and jump off a cliff into a lake. Chimera take sthe daughter soon after.

Bald guy is found on a river side and is taken back to the house where Red spots a ransom note from the Evilution Empire. Bald guy opens himself up to reveal he is a robot and the denraito they were looking for. Denraito says he will fight to keep the daughter alive and Red welcomes his help like the suave can he can be at times. After that the Dynamen appear to give intros on a hill and fight Guillotine Lizard while Chimera and Megiddo have the girl hostage. Guillotine Lizard beats the hell out of the heroes. Suddenly a rock is thrown at Megiddo and Chimera, specifically by Denraito who faces off again tail soldiers to save the girl. Soon he does so although Megiddo's sword flashes stun him. The team defends him even against hard odds. Denraito gets up and emits an electric surge on Guillotine Lizard that causes him to explode and fries his circuits. Kar spins his wheel, opening a fissure that takes Guillotine Lizard's body parts and the Big Bang Beam is ued (I missed it last time, but this came from the Grangizmo's eyes) which turn him giant and close the fissure upon him returning to the surface. Red summons Dyjupiter, the team boards, and once Mach, Mobile, and Garry combine DR can be used. Guillotine Lizard goes all out in melee although DR uses a Dyna Flash to stun him before he is destroyed from the Fall. Denraito opens his eyes and the heroes rush to his aid, lifting him up. All is well and the family of three go home while everyone waves goodbye. Next episode shows some guy in white and some man being kidnapped.

Episode 36:

Dr. Yumeno meets someone at a theme park. The two talk about something when tail soldiers lead by Machine Gun Jaguar attack them. Dr. Yumeno's friend is taken with the heroes trying to rescue him. After dealing with the tail soldiers out in a field they fight Machine Gun Jaguar who guns down their weapons. Their dyna kicks fail and Megiddo shows up to take the scientist. Later, at the Invention Center Red explains how they flunked. Cut to Grangizmo where Aton tells Kar not to screw up their opportunity while Megiddo whips the scientist in the dungeon. During this the team decides to train themselves to the point of getting their hands bloody. Yellow passes out and Dr. Yumeno scolds him via stick hitting and telling reminding the team their last two victories were not really their own. They continue to fight and train while the scientist is in a holding cell and activates a communicator disguised as a locket. Just as he manages to communicate with Dr. Yumeno Megiddo finds out and stops him. The computer manages to trace the signal. Meanwhile, the team save for Red is worn out although he too slowly succumbs to tire. A man in a white rob and red goblin mask shows up to sword duel with Red while he is tired. Red manages to slice off the mask revealing Dr. Yumeno. He then uses his sword to fight off the team for a while, proving that he really can fight. Red manages to stun him in the gut which causes him to collapse. Dr. Yumeno tells the team he had to prepare them for a better Super Dynamite and the only way to do so was to bring their most strength and effort. The team continues to train, now inspired.

The team transforms, levitates, and grabs arms to execute a new technique called the New Super Dynamite. Yup, they even say New in plain english. After that the Dynamen save the scientist tied to a tree before Megiddo and Machine Gun Jaguar can execute him. Pink chops his ropes while Red and Megiddo banter to each other followed by intros. The New Super Dynamite is tried, done like in training except they take the form of a giant fire ball and Machine Gun Jaguar blows to pieces. Megiddo runs and the team feels victorious. However, Kar opens a fissure and Big Bang Beam's Machine Gun Jaguar back together (would this beam work on Humpty Dumpty?). Upon him growing big and returning to the surface, Dyjupiter is commanded by Red to come with the team boarding and launching Mach, Mobile, and Garyy to combine into DR. Machine Gun Jaguar's assaults are deflected by the Dyna Shield before DR charges at him and terminates him with the Fall. Dr. Yumeno and his friends talk with the Dynamen with the ominous guiat rock track in the background. I said much about this track, but it is background music that is actually quite awesome and I would not be surprised if it inspired the original Power Rangers theme since they sound similar and use the same instruments. Next episode shows the coming of Zenobia and Chimera in a black outfit.

Lets continue with part 13!

Episode 37:

In some smokey volcano region is the Millennial cave which Kar and folks try to go to, but a quake happens and the door busts open to reveal an Evilution Empire general named Zenobia. She jumps around on land and introduces herself to the villains. Kar is not pleased and Zenobia easily fights off his crew. A tail soldier gives Zenobia a scythe that shoots energy beams which counters a staff Kar uses which does the same thing. She teleports off as do the others. Soon after the team notices all the dead tail soldiers from the attack although one remains alive long enough to warn them of the now free Zenobia. Cut to Grangizmo where Kar protests as Zenobia wants to join them although Aton eventually allows this. Zenobia claws one of Electric Eel's eyes and blasts him with her scythe. After that Electric Eel starts a rampage. This causes Kendo Robot to punch out Dr. Yumeno at the preschool. Around Tokyo machinery like traffic lights and elevators go crazy with random explosions happening. The heroes locate Electric Eel unaware his eye is used to probe the battlefield. During the battle Red manages to stun Electric Eel until Zenobia appears with random explosions. She faces the Dynamen in a black and foggy dimension where she scythe beams them and uses telekinesis. The Rod Spark is used, but Zenobia and her female tail soldier just teleport off and they return to Tokyo. Zenobia telekinetically blocks dynarod gun throwing and says she will destroy them before teleporting off. At Grangizmo Zenobia shows off how much better she is and whatnot.

Electric Eel attacks an electric plant and shocks a poor worker on a pole. The city goes further into chaos as machines overload with electricity. Meanwhile, Red notices he is being watched by the eye prob and runs off to find it. The preschoolers notice one of them is being followed and tells the team. Another eye probe follows Red. At the preschool the eye probe following the child lets Zenobia and Electric Eel to appear, frightening Dr. Yumeno. The Dynamen arrive to save them although the villains manage to go down the shoot. Dr. Yumeno manages to use a press trap to bounce the villains to a field where the heroes wait for them followed by intros. Electric Eel is fed his own eye which gives him his power back. Both sides exchange blows complete with dynarod gun spamming and finishin with the New Super Dynamite- you know what? From now on it is the NSD. Anyway, after the NSD, Kar has Electric Eel's body parts Big Bang Beamed followed by Red calling Dyjupiter and Mach, Mobile, and Garry becoming DR after the team boards. Electric Eel goes electric happy when DR uses the Dyna Fire Dragon before finishing him with the Fall- Oh wow, an aerial perspective shot and the background has grass! That is new. Aton is ticked although Zenobia is prideful. The preschool is shutdown and the kids give the team a final farewell. Next episode shows some old guy held hostage near a dam.

Electric Eel: Powers include back electric waves and bolts, eye probe, electric surges, and electricity manipulation

Episode 38:

After a recap of the last episode we see Yellow and Pink driving around before they notice someone tied up in a truck. They follow said truck, pull it over, and tail soldiers and Megiddo come out. Yellow takes the truck and Pink hops in the back seeing a man tied up and cleave gagged. Cut to Grangizmo where Zenobia scolds Megiddo like everyone else at some point. Some bickering occurs soon after. Zenobia shows blue prints of Armor Rose on the monitor. At a park the old man walks off despite Pink trying to talk to him. Megiddo and Armor Rose locate the old man as he lights a cigarette. He is soon stunned by Armor Rose and the team tries helping him. Somehow the beam turned the old man into a child and he runs off. The heroes fend off Megiddo and Armor Rose although a poor dog turns into a puppy. After a tree is affected the two teleport off where Zenobia smacks them with her scythe. At the Invention Center Dr. Yumeno tries to find out what is wrong with the dog and tree while the Dynamen look for the human victim. Tail soldiers find him followed by Pink. Armor Rose uses his age power while the boy is turned into an adult. Zenobia is ticked while Pink fights off both villains before the men show up. Victim guy runs off with Pink giving chase. Meanwhile, Dr. Yumeno notices the dog turned back to normal followed by the tree which busts a hole in the ceiling. He tells Pink about it and she runs off. Victim guy buts a suit and decides to impress a girl in town. Said girl happens to be Pink who soon catches him after a quick run. She tells him he will become old again and victim guy wants to enjoy his youth while he can because as a boy he was sent off in World War II. With that said they both go off to do something fun.

While Pink and victim guy sight see Megiddo sicks Armor Rose, but the men show up to stop them. After that victim guy becomes his old self again and lies down while Pink helps her teammates. On a dam the heroes do their intros and slaughter mooks. Armor Rose and Pink duel a bit with her winning and the NSD follows. Kar Big Bang Beam's Armor Rose, Red calls Dyjupiter, the carrier lands, and DR is formed from Mach, Mobile, and Garry combining. Armor Rose goes sword happy although DR counters with the Dyna Knuckle. Once DR uses the Dyna Fire Dragon Armor Rose is destroyed from The Fall. Megiddo is cuffed in front of Aton who says he is done of his failures and has him locked away in the Millennial Cave after Zenobia slices off his tails. Even Chimera and Kar find it brutal. The episode ends with the men performing in a foggy moonlight setting as Pink and victim guy dance. Next episode shows women carrying watermelons.

Armor Rose: Powers include a right arm saber armed with a age reversing beam, a left arm buzz saw shield, teleportation, and magnetic rose petals

Episode 39:

In the Millennial Cave Megiddo screams for someone to let him out and drinks dripping water. Aton demands that Zenobia does not fail him. Chimera presents Aton a watermelon to which Kar explains is part of his next plan and are being mass produced. Cut to Laser Hawk flying around and Red spotting him. Laser Hawk flashes his eyes which knock a mother unconscious and gives her a watermelon she mistakens for her baby who is in front of her. Red tries to snap her out of it as her baby cries, but she just runs off. Laser Hawk attacks Red briefly before flying off. At some houses with moms and babies in them Laser Hawk does the same thing. Kar boasts about how great his plan is. Before some mother in a park can be attacked Red comes out with a lasso and the mother was Pink in disguise with a toy doll. Laser Hawk tries flying away with Red anchoring him. The others show up to help although it does little. Red grabs Laser Hawk and loses his Dyna Bracelet. After that he falls and lands on a barn with hey. At the Invention Center the team assumes the worse. In said barn Red finds the mom from earlier and he tries snapping her out of it.... And she does so! Turns out it is super windy outside and tail soldiers catch her although Red beats them up. Gizmosquitos show up to spam lasers of doom and the two take cover. The mother starts breaking down and crying with Red trying to calm her down. He distracts the tail soldiers while he makes a run for it. She soon finds her baby where she left it (and Red did not take it somewhere because WHY?) while Red is shot and tumbles down a hill.

Down the hill he finds a cave and sees two tail soldiers making the watermelons. He beats them up when Chimera spots him and uses her whip on him. Red throws watermelons (which smash more like pumpkins and have green liquids in them) and manages to destroy a console to cause a few explosions. Outside of the cave Laser Hawk chases him followed by Chimera and her squad. The others show up to save him and Black throws Red his Dyna Bracelet so he can transform. Following this are the heroes doing intros and.... A squad of tail soldiers being present but no fighting with them? I am quite surprised. The Dynamen fight Laser Hawk off while demonstrating levitation powers and use the NSD on him. Kar Big Bang Beams Laser Hawk, Red summons Dyjupiter, and Mach, Mobile, and Garry form DR after the team beams aboard it. Laser Hawk flies in laser spewing and DR.... FIGHTS HIM IN THE AIR!? Sentai first people, an aerial battle takes place! Anyway, Laser Hawk gets punched to the ground and explodes from the Fall. The episode ends with slow motion of the team returning the babies to their mothers. Next episode shows a school being bugged by Word Processor Armadillo.

Episode 40:

Note: I am aware the full name is Word Processor Armadillo, his name will be shortened to WPA for the review.

School kids play baseball when Chimera and WPA have tail soldiers taking pictures. This somehow causes an explosion. He does the same to sme passing couple. Cut to Grangizmo where Chimera says WPA can cause explosions near whoever says a word on his torso screen. During this we see Megiddo growing a mustache and still suffering. Later Chimera and WPA encounter Black in an ally. WPA is knocked down and one of his traps are set which cause explosions which stun Black. WPA then types in the Japanese word for cherry and fires from from the sonic emitter for his right arm. Black becomes injured and knocked around until the others try to save him. The team says word activated explosions which stun Pink followed by Blue. Red manages to bust some monitor the tail soldiers use. WPA manages to get away, but some little girl spots him. She tries telling the closest adult she sees, who is Black in his civilian form, and because she is mute she tries pointing. Black mistakens her pointing for a ball in the water. After that is a rampage of word activated explosions and Dr. Yumeno is trying to figure out what is going on. The next day everyone starts wearing face masks because.... Black finds mute girl and she uses sign language, more ball retrieval. Later Chimera spots her chalk drawing on a side walk when Chimera spots her and nabs her. Black notices and sneaks close to them only for Chimera to ambush him. The word black is used as a trap so he cannot transform. Mute girl is taken away by WPA's squad and Chimera beats him up. After that he tells the team at the Invention Center what happened and Pink explains to him sign language he missed. Guilt sets in with the others telling him not to worry. He tries to remember more and soon he figures out what she was saying.

Black sneaks along rooftops to the Evilution Empire base. He soon finds mute girl and jumps to the window of the room she is kept in. Chimera spots him and tail soldiers go after him. They flunk at their job and Black leads mute girl away while he fights the villains off until his team shows up. Black throws shurikens and leads WPA and his squad outside where the heroes transform, do intros, and beat up mooks.... Who fuse into tires. I did not know evolved reptiles from beneath the surface could do that. The Dynamen actually have a hard time until dynarod guns are thrown. WPA gets dyna kicked followed by the NSD. Kar Big Bang Beam's WPA, Red calls Dyjupiter, and Mach, Mobile and Garry become DR after it lands. DR fights WPA in his ball form and tosses him around. WPA then fires cherries which explode, but DR counters with a Dyna Fire Dragon before finishing the fight with the Fall. The episode ends with mute girl using sign with Black which allows everyone to be happy and whatnot as they run off. Next episode shows motorcycles and Drill Horse flying around.

Episode 41:

Note: I am aware Drill Horse becomes Drill Pegasus upon getting a jet pack, but I do not see why that is worth changing the name over

At night a motorcycle gang rides around yelling and robs some lab complete with beating up a guard. Before leaving they make a graffiti sign of an eagle and go on to another lab while yellig "yee!" The next day Red marks the robbed labs on a map. The heroes go out patroling and whatnot. Cut to Grangizmo where Drill Horse complains his jet powered wings are terrible. Zenobia says once he does the city of Tokyo will be bathed in flames based on the pictures they show. She manages to sway Aton about doubling their efforts for him. A tail soldier runs in saying Megiddo has escaped the Millennial Cave. Aton and his minions look around and find it weird he managed to escape before heading back to Grangizmo. Cut to Red on patrol when some boy throws rocks at him and runs. Red catches him and the boy gets angry before giving back story that his father is in the hospital because of the biker gang. He sopon starts breaking down into tears although Red tells him not to be sad and that not every motorcyclist is evil. Blue and Pink spot a robbery Drill Horse and Chimera are doing with the biker gang, who were tail soldiers. Drill Horse busts down a wall when the entire team shows up to spoil their fun. Tail soldiers are beaten up and Chimera teleports off with a briefcase. Once the villains meet up Drill Horse throws a fit for failing. At the hospital rock boy, named Hiroshi, talks to his father for a bit and reveals something and he runs out. Hiroshi finds the motorcycles somehow and smashes their orniments witha pipe. Meanwhile, the Dynamen find Chimera who is about to drive off when she reveals they have Hiroshi hostage (you have to love editing). Red steals a motorcycle and pursues them.

At a field Red tries saving Hiroshi from a tail soldier biker. He soon does with other bikers getting close to them. Red spins around to shake them off when Drill Horse flies in to be a dick. Soon he knocks Red and Hiroshi off the motorcycle and drill missile spams them. They hide behind a tree and Red tells him to stay there before Dr. Yumeno contacts him. Drill Horse tells Chimera he shot them down when the Dynamen all show up on top of an abandoned building with Red giving a monologue followed by intros. Drill Horse takes to the air and drill missile spams some more until Red emits a bunch of red balls to knock him down followed by dynarod gun throwing, Red using his swords, dyna kicking, and the NSD. Kar Big Bang Beam's Drill Horse (this time with a different shot of him emerging from the fissure), Red has Dyjupiter come and land, the team boards, and DR is formed from Mach, Mobile, and Garry combining. Both giants go melee quite quickly with shoving. DR uses a Dyna Flash to stun Drill Horse long enough to end him via the Fall. The team finds Hiroshi and he is given a biker helmet before Red has him ride along. Next episode shows the Dark Prince raiding the Grangizmo and Yellow finding a sword.

Episode 42:

Aton sleeps on his throne when explosions occur. Teleporting in is an entity called the Dark Prince who steals Aton's sword. He teleports off and soon after Aton demands everyone try to find it while Dark Prince laughs. The next day Yellow leaves a potted plant in secret for some school girl. Her little brother throws a botted flower and runs off with their dog. Suddenly Yellow spots a sword thrown at him with Chimera leading a squad of tail soldiers at him. Once Yellow picks it up flashes happen which knock over the grunts. Said sword also easily fends off Masakari Bear before the team arrives and Chimera teleport soff with him. At Grangizmo Aton is furious his sword is now in the hands of the Dynamen. A tail soldier runs in with a written message from the Dark Prince. Meanwhile, Yellow walks around with the sword and the others are concerned for him as he starts stealing potted flowers. Red finds the school girl Yellow has been stalking and they talk a bit about whatever. She reveals that her parents were killed by Zenobia via her mooks throwing them off a cliff. Yellow confronts Zenobia and her squad with Aton watching on the monitor in fury. He fires a red energy bolt from his left eye which stuns Yellow before creating a hologram of himself in the sky. I should note that Aton's right eye is replaced with a fake one of what I assume is bronze. Yellow starts to suffer and Black and Blue cannot remove the sword from his grasp. Zenobia demands they surrender if they want to save him. Yellow tries to fight her, but she teleports off.

Yellow goes insane and wants to slay whatever he sees. Red tries confronting him, but Yellow only sees a tail soldier and gets surged. Red's left arm is soon cut, but he manages to throw the sword off his grasp. Yellow snaps out of it and is saddened that he hurt his teammate. Zenobia retrieves Aton's sword when Dark Prince shows up, making the area dark for a bit. He reveals that it was him that gave Yellow the sword as part of a revenge scheme. The team transforms and fights off a barrage of tail soldiers with Dark Prince killing a few of his own complete with slow motion. He then demands a duel with Red and he complies. The area goes dark and both of them sword fight in the dark. Once the darkness passes Masakari Bear launches missiles and Yellow saves Red from a sword thrown at him by Chimera. Dark Prince teleports off and the team does intros before dealing with Masakari Bear. Dynarod guns are used for surges before weapon assaults and the NSD. Kar Big Bang Beam's Masakari Bear, Red summons Dyjupiter, the team beams up, and Mach, Mobile, and Garry combine into DR. Masakari Bear fights a bit before DR punches him and makes him blow up from the Fall. Zenobia returns Aton's sword to him and he sheaths it. Kar proposes they hunt down Dark Prince. The episode ends with Yellow still looking at school girl as her brother comes home with their dog. Next episode shows Rocket Tiger attacking.

Episode 43:

Blue rides a four wheeler in a field near old train tracks when Rocket Tiger attacks him. Chimera sicks her squad of tail soldiers right after. Once they are beaten up Rocket Tiger continues attacking. Later Blue is back at the Invention Center and Dr. Yumeno talks about fighting rockets. Black heads out ninja style, jumping through trees. Blue tries attacking him and flunks. Cut to Pink being attacked by Rocket Tiger before he runs off. The men think about what to do when Black decides to give chase. Zenobia shows up to give Rocket Tiger a needle missile while saying Black is screwed before he transforms. Rocket Tiger fires the needle missile and hits Black, Zenobia is amused. Blue looks for Black who is injured badly. He soon finds him in a tall grass field with Black faking his well being. Blue wants Black to teach him and he thinks it over in his head for a good thirty seconds. Soon they train by running through a waterfall and a rocky river followed by high jumping and more running. Soon Black's injuries get the better of him as Blue tires. Insert deception drama here. After that Blue tries jumping in trees and fails.

Blue seems to get a hang on jumping around. Dark Prince attacks Black and Blue charges in to save him. Black thanks Blue for saving him via passing. Dark Prince teleports off after complaining and the two transform. Cut to Red, Yellow, and Pink being attacked by Rocket Tiger until the two show up. This is followed by intros and smack down on the tail soldiers. Dark Prince shows up to screw with Rocket Tiger before the team surrounds the latter. Blue does his new ninja jump powers with the others kicking him to guide him. Soon Rocket Tiger is knocked down long enough for the NSD to be used. Kar Big Bang Beam's Rocket Tiger, Red sends out Dyjupiter, the team boards it upon landing, and Mach, Mobile, and Garry become DR. Zenobia uses a lever to give Rocket Tiger a giant version of the needle missile from earlier saying it is their trump card and stuff. Red realizes DR cannot move fast enough so it dynamic jumps.... and separates! Zenobia is surprised as Mobile missile spams Rocket Tiger with Mach lasering it. Rocket Tiger fires the missile prematurely and hits himself before recombination and Garry not doing anything with DR terminating him with the Fall. The episode ends with the team walking around a rocky river. Next episode shows Shovel Kong flinging balls and a girl held hostage.

Rocket Tiger: Only known power is a right shoulder rocket launcher

Episode 44:

Shovel Kong shovels as his squad watches. He tears some wire and likes it. Chimera tells him to proceed with the next step of his plan when they hear a couple. Shovel Kong knocks over a tree to stop their escape. During this none of the phones in town are able to work. Cut to the heroes stopping at an empty roadblock and turning around when they encounter rocks blocking the road. They spot an old man with an eye patch who informs them of a detour before going off into the woods. Red chases him before we see a cave base where tail soldiers make metallic balls (shotput?). One tail soldier touches one and evaporates. Later Shovel Kong starts using them to bomb the city with Kar showing Aton who is impressed.... And NOW we have the episode title! After that some girl paints a cliff with the old man from earlier walking by her. Red asks if she has seen her and she mentions him. Suddenly ominous music with Red walking up the cliff when Chimera and Shovel Kong appear. Red tries to transform, but the dyna brace is busted and he is hit with a boulder. Dr. Yumeno tries to call him to no avail. Red has a bloody left leg and limps with painter girl finding him. They talk a bit and she skips off. Chimera and the tail soldiers nab her and Red limps off to find her. Chimera threatens to shove her off a cliff if Red fails to cooperate. Suddenly the old man shows up to help and saves paint girl. Red jumps on the cliff to help him while Chimera teleports off. Old man talks to them before talking to Red. The others show up and he jumps away.

Red chases the old man who reveals himself to be Dark Prince. Before fighting Dark Prince shows Red the cave base and teleports away. The others show up and see the Evilution Empire carry ball bombs on a truck. The heroes race down to fight and Chimera uses explosive flashes from her whip so the truck can move. The Dynafalcon and Dynamachine try catching up yet fail followed by dynarod gun throwing which stops the truck. After the team deals with an attack helicopter Chimera leads the tail soldiers near a cliff. After that Red gives a speech before the intros and fighting happen.... surprisingly without tail soldiers. Shovel Kong gets attacked while the Dynamen dodge his attacks with the NSD being used on him. Kar Big Bang Beam's him, Red summons Dyjupiter, the team beams up, and DR is formed from Mach, Mobile, and Garry combining. Shovel Kong and DR go into melee with the former throwing large boulders. DR uses the Dyna Knuckle to stun Shovel Kong before a punch attack and the Fall destroying him. The episode ends with paint girl doing a sketch of Red's head and the others being impressed. Next episode shows Red fighting and paint girl again.

Shovel Kong: Powers include a shovel claw right arm and hot ball bomb

Episode 45:

Red bikes around until he spots a sketch book with crayon drawings in them, one of which is paint girl from last time. Red soon finds her and returns her sketch book. In her house he notices her mom looks suspicious. Later he walks with her in the woods because.... Soon two women walk nearby with one wearing a diamond around her neck who looks like paint girl's mom. Even she points this out and Red checks her out. Soon Red finds out it is Zenobia who unleashes Rainbow Chameleon and tail soldiers on him. Zenobia and the other woman, I assume her female tail soldier, walk off while Rainbow Chameleon uses camera lenses to emits colors to blind Red. Cut to Grangizmo where Zenobia says Rainbow Chameleon will emit a deadly rainbow that will set Tokyo on fire with Aton approving. Later Zenobia walks around a hill by herself when Dark Prince gives her the picture Red saw easier. Dark Prince monologues which angers her and he turns the area dark so they can duel. Zenobia easily overwhelms Dark Prince at first, but his dark powers manage to land him a strong hit before he teleports off. Meanwhile, Dr. Yumeno and the team discuss magma energy and whatnot. At the cave base Chimera tells Zenobia about the Dynamen coming. Zenobia and her minion pick up paint girl who she thinks is her mom. Chimera and her squad find the heroes and warn them they have paint girl with them so Red heads off to find her. At her house she, Zenobia, and her minion enjoy outdoor time with Red snooping. Tail soldiers lead by Chimera show up to attack with Zenobia attacking with a knife. The others show up before things get worse and secure paint girl. Zenobia reveals her true self and paint girl loses her trust. Zenobia mentions magma energy soon after.

A time counts down in the cave base with some device activating. Dyjupiter spots a satellite dish and missile's it. Rainbow Chameleon teleports over to tell her they are screwed. The fight shifts to a river with pain girl running and the team transforming. Red gives a speech before intros happen. Rainbow Chameleon uses hot colors to attack which makes the Dynamen dizzy. After that are flying kicks- Oh snap he teleported! Why can't Toei tell the difference between invisibility and teleportation? Grenades fly and Red uses the fire of his dynarod gun to smoke Rainbow Chameleon out before throwing his naginata followed by the NSD. Kar Big Bang Beam's Rainbow Chameleon while moving his arms around, Dr. Yumeno sends out Dyjupiter, the team boards, and Mach, Mobile, and Garry become DR. Rainbow Chameleon color spams until DR stuns him with the Dyna Flash and ends him with the Fall. Red takes paint girl to a lake and gives her a talk with gentle music playing. The episode ends with the team comforting her. Next episode shows a boy turning to stone from Jet Flying Squirrel.

Rainbow Chameleon: Powers include invisibility, hot rainbows from the left eye camera called the chameleon beam, teleportation, grenades, and body beams

Penultimate paradise is upon us! No more wasting time as we head toward the finale with part 16!

Episode 46:

A father and son walk on a bridge when an earthquake occurs. They find themselves near a waterfall after running when the dad spots something red and shiny. Cut to Grangizmo where Zenobia shows Aton a statue looking like Medusa and puts it on the torso of Jet Flying Squirrel. Chimera and her squad look around the waterfall to find another statue unaware Dark Prince is watching them. Meanwhile, Pink runs wound the woods when she spots the father and son chased by tail soldiers and promptly punches the wind out of them. An arrow is shot near her warning her about the medusa statue and Dark Prince informs her it was him- Where did he get a crossbow?At the Invention Center Dr. Yumeno gives the back story of Medusa and statue conversion powers and stuff. The father and son head back to a lab where the latter complains about the former when Medusa and her squad barge in and take over. The son manages to escape while Pink walks around a park looking for them. Jet Flying Squirrel is about to be sent out when Pink shows up to fight. Chimera stops her as soon as she transforms and shocks her when the men show up to save her. Chimera runs while the tail soldiers allow her to escape. During this Dr. Yumeno manages to decipher a code in Dark Prince's message. Jet Flying Squirrel finds the son and tries strangling him when Pink shows up to stop him, unaware that out of the boy's pocket was a red jewel. Jet Flying Squirrel puts it into an empty socket on the medusa head, revealing it was the statue's other eye, and turns the boy, named Hiroshi, to stone. The men show up and Pink warns them not to look at Jet Flying Squirrel. After that Jet Flying Squirrel turns people to stone across Tokyo- Oh wow, this statue can cause trains to explode and move grounded jets! The Dynamen show up while trying no to look. Jet Flying Squirrel fires arrows at everyone, Yellow getting it in his left butt cheek, before flying off. Later Pink has regrets about letting Hiroshi turn to stone and promises to fix it.

Jet Flying Squirrel wonders around until he spots Pink playing tennis. Little does he know that the men are watching in secret. Pink watches Jet Flying Squirrel in a mirror and uses her saber to slice the torso statue. Jet Flying Squirrel's mooks show up, but everyone throws tennis balls at them with rackets. Pink mentions how Perseus killed Medusa (they clearly left out the part where Medusa was sleeping) and everyone transforms with the heroes doing intros and tail soldier termination. Jet Flying Squirrel and Pink duel a bit with her eventually winning before the NSD is used. Kar Big Bang Beam's Jet Flying Squirrel and I should note that the fight was in a friggin city and the fissure takes place in a field before he walked out. Toei toku editing folks! Anyway, Red calls Dyjupiter, the team boards upon landing, and Mach, Mobile, and Garry become DR. Jet Flying Squirrel leaps in and arrow spams DR only for it to punch him and finish him with the Fall (also not taking place in the city). The episode ends with Hiroshi back to normal with his father and presumably everyone else no longer being stone. Next episode shows Kar watching people suffer and Poison Gas Weasel attacking.

Episode 47:

Aton complains Kar is not doing anything and he replies that his next plan is sure fire and stuff. Poison Gas Weasel is harvesting toxic gases from magma and Aton is pleased. Cut to a theme park where Poison Gas Weasel unleashes magma gas on everyone. Blue and Yellow watch with the latter getting sprayed. Kar shows up laughing with Poison Gas Weasel boasting about how successful the plan was. However, instead of everyone dying their noses and ears simply turn large. As Kar teleports off Dark Prince can be seen. Later Yellow is at the Invention Center set up to a breath apparatus with Dr. Yumeno saying how dangerous the situation is or something. Everyone gets their serious faces on. At Grangizmo Aton throws a fit at the setback with Zenobia being a jerk about it. Kar says they will find out what the hell happened. The team goes to a river when Pink is caught on a vine that moves. Once she is free they follow it. Zenobia, Chimera, and Poison Gas Weasel are followed by Zenobia and her minion, but before they can do anything Dark Prince appears to stop them both. Zenobia and Dark Prince talk for a bit about bringing down the Evilution Empire and seem to agree. Soon they spot the Dynamen because of Blue being clumsy and they transform to fight. Beams fly with the heroes stunned as the two villains use their powers on them, sending them down a hill. Later the team wakes up near a river and try contacting Dr. Yumeno to no avail. Meanwhile, Kar is pleased on how everything is running with Chimera noting how well the magma energy is flowing, so much so even the tail soldiers dance a little. Then a minor fault sends two of them into a magma pit and everyone becomes careful.

Zenobia, her minion, and Dark Prince watch from outside the cave. The Dynamen also watch when Yellow shows up and back to normal. He says Dr. Yumeno managed to find a cure. Meanwhile, the tail soldiers and Kar are attacked by vines to steal jars of green liquid harvested from the cave. The user of the vines? Dark Prince. However, the team steals the jars from him and he teleports off. Kar catches Zenobia with the jars, but blames the Dynamen because why not? After that are the intros and fight with Poison Gas Squirrel who summons toxic gases from beneath the ground. Eventually he uses his spray gun arm until the team uses a flying cartwheel followed by dynarod gun throwing and the NSD. Kar Big Bang Beam's Poison Gas Weasel, Red summons Dyjupiter, it lands with the team boarding, and DR forms from Mach, Mobile, and Garry combining. Both giants go melee crazy until Poison Gas Weasel uses his gas attacks to choke up the team, but DR spins fast enough to reflect the gas at him. This stuns Poison Gas Weasel long enough for DR to destroy him with the Fall. The heroes go to the cave where the magma and green liquids were with Red noticing something wrong. They walk out with the narrator saying something ominous. Next episode shows the team playing catch with a canister and a miner.

Episode 48:

After a clipshow of last time we see Aton giving a speech to his underlings about how vital it is their plan goes. Zenobia thinks on how she will betray everyone. Cut to the Invention Center where Pink tries developing a cure with the green liquid they recovered. The team goes around Tokyo telling scientists and whatnot. The heroes meet up at a park where Pink tells them some good news when Red spots Chimera. However, he tells the team not to pursue them for now. Later the team goes to some old woman's house when Dark Prince emerges with some box and runs off. They chase him to a hill. He throws the box and Boomerang Jackal catches it. The Dynamen transform soon after when a ball of fire appears revealing to be Kar. He fires staff beams while Black manages to knock the box out of Boomerang Jackal's hands. The package is torn and revealed to be a painting of Dr. Yumeno which the heroes retrieve and run off with. At the Invention Center they see a message in the portrait and wonder what happened to him after he cured Yellow last time. Red gets an idea relating to the cave liquid (if this has a name I'd like to know). Later they go looking for more green liquid with Black hearing a stream of it underground. They find a mine and enter it where they find Dr. Yumeno. Suddenly Zenobia manages to cause a cave in, trapping them while laughing about it. Dr. Yumeno explains how the liquid would reverse the effects of the magma energy gas or something- I WISH I KNEW JAPANESE! After Dr. Yumeno's heartfilled speech, which I wish I knew what he was talking about, Dark Prince runs off just as Kar and Chimera walk by. Kar asks why Zenobia and her minion are here and they bicker.

Dr. Yumeno says something about the NSD as they prepare to move a giant canister with them. They bust down the barricade with Red, Black, and Blue Dyna Maching. Blue is taken out by Boomerang Jackal who takes the canister with Yellow and Pink showing up. After that the Dynamen do their intros and Red kicks Boomerang Jackal to get the canister. After that the tail soldiers try American football plays with the canister as the ball. Yellow trips which causes the tides to turn until Red gets it back. Kar watches the nonsense from a hill while Dark Prince talks to Zenobia. Black also demonstrates he can move faster that the speed of sound. Red gives Boomerang Jackal the canister before they use the NSD. Kar returns to Grangizmo via teleportation to Big Bang Beam Boomernag Jackal, Red calls Dyjupiter, the heroes board, and upon the carrier landing Mach, Mobile, and Garry launch so DR can be used. Boomerang Jackal boomerang spams DR until it uses the Dyna Boomerang (did not know it could encase itself in energy) with the fight ending with a punch attack and destruction from the Fall. Aton becomes angry at the repeated failures with Zenobia having a sinister smirk. Next episode shows Dr. Yumeno punching Red and Kar fending off Aton.

New Year's Day is almost here as is the end of the ride! Lets finish the year with a bang with part final!

Episode 49:

After a clipshow of last episode Aton holds Kar accountable for recent failures. Zenobia smiles at Kar being scolded. Later Comuputer Dragon throws bombs called the dragon balls when the team shows up. Kar and Chimera teleport in with the former telling Computer Dragon he is made with the best technology and will send the Dynamen to their creator. Tail soldiers show up to get beaten. Computer Dragon spams dragon balls which destroy a city block. Kar contacts Dr. Yumeno and tells him to call the heroes down unless they wish to die. He also mentions that Aton will pull the moon or something which will cause giant tidal waves. Computer Dragon flies away with the heroes disappointed. Cut to Red bumping into Dr. Yumeno who has a tiny radio. Dr. Yumeno punches Red and heads off in his car. The team sees Kar's message and decide to follow. Dr. Yumeno is soon met by Kar and his crew and just as they chain him up the Dynamen appear in their vehicles. Man do the grunts suffer here. Dr. Yumeno is taken on a truck and Red throws a homing device on Computer Dragon. While the team deals with Kar Zenobia and Dark Prince intend to hijack Computer Dragon via remote control. They succeed in hijacking him as he takes Dr. Yumeno with him. At Grangizmo they somehow bring the doc back, but Aton sees through the disguise as he sliced him with his sword.... Revealing to be an android. Kar is shocked while on the monitor Zenobia points out Computer Dragon took the real Dr. Yumeno. Aton is furious and unleashes his sword. Kar can barely hold him back and is shocked by Aton's eye bolts. Kar teleports off to prove his loyalty.

The heroes manage to track Computer Dragon with Dark Prince telling Dr. Yumeno his remote is keeping him in check. Red destroys the remote with a dynarod gun throw and Computer Dragon attacks Dark Prince- Oh man, Night on Bald Mountain playing during the duel! Never knew Dark Prince was a space sheriff! The one sided battle ends with Computer Dragon dead and Kar shows up to fight the Dynamen. Once Black hides Dr. Yumeno Red does a speech followed by intros. Five against one, Kar beam staffs the team with curved beams similar to Space Godzilla's corona beam. Dyna kicks are executed, but he erects an energy barrier to fend them off as well as dynarod gun throwing. Kar's helmet fires a few beams from the horns. The team uses their attacks to no avail and Kar easily damages the suits. However, the team fights on by using the NSD. Kar's helmet is busted and he is barely able to stand before teleporting back to Grangizmo. He activates the Big Bang Beam on Computer Dragon before dying. After Zenobia walks off Computer Dragon emerges from the fissure. Zenobia finds Dr. Yumeno and holds him hostage to Aton's surprise. Red summons Dyjupiter, the heroes board it upon landing, and Mach, Mobile, and Garry become DR. Both giants go in for melee combat with Computer Dragon using surges upon his claws touching the ground, but DR uses the Dyna Fire Dragon to stun him before terminating him via the Fall. Kar is placed in a coffin with candles with Aton giving him final words of loyalty and bravery, Chimera can be seen shedding a tear. The Dynamen proceed to find Dr. Yumeno and Zenobia.... and a cliffhanger with the team joining their hands together! Next episode shows Aton and Dark Prince fighting with Red slicing the latter's mask off.

Episode 50:

After a clipshow of the last episode Aton demands his tail soldiers find Zenobia when Chimera comes in saying something. A video tape plays with Kar saying something on it (a video will?). Some revelation happens and Kar spawns Fire Sphinx as his last and most powerful monster. Cut to Zenobia, her minion, and Dark Prince unchaining Dr. Yumeno (still has a collar though) in a cave so he can work on chemicals.Zenobia spots his radio and shocks him with lasers from her eyes which I am assuming hypnotize him given his dull expression afterward. As the dusk approaches the team makes a bond fire. At Grangizmo some ceremony is done with Fire Sphinx to allow him to see into other dimensions and he sees Zenobia and Dark Prince enslaving Dr. Yumeno. Speaking of whom, Zenobia enters a chamber and bathes in gas while Dark Prince wonders outside when the Grangizmo is spotted taking flight. The Evilution Empire confronts Dark Prince with Aton demanding the two fight one on one. The duel they have in the sandy dunes is actually kind of cool. Also Aton's tails emit explosive flashes too, did not know that. Dark Prince eventually makes it rain sparks which does nothing.... What a weird power. The fight ends with Dark Prince wounded and his sword thrown into Aton's heart.

Zenobia is enriched with the gas as her tails begin to grow. Her minion has concerns as the chamber overloads and the cave starts to explode. Dr. Yumeno manages to take his collar off once the minion dies in an explosion. Zenobia teleports above ground with everyone seeing as she grows ten tails. She proceeds to attack the weakened Aton and his minions, but before doing so she finds it hard to breathe. Dark Prince reveals he tricked her into absorbing too much power at once or something which causes her to age into a skeleton.... Wow that is brutal. Dark Prince laughs and Red slices his armor off to reveal he was Megiddo who gives a speech about how much he planned for revenge against Zenobia. Because of his power he demands to ascend to the throne. Dr. Yumeno shows up and Red duels with Megiddo. Chimera helps the dying Aton who demands that Megiddo must be given his sword has he is their last hope and gives her his sword before dying from his body exploding. During this the team leading Dr. Yumeno up a hill with Megiddo catching up and pointing out the Millennial Cave. Chimera shows up and gives Megiddo his father's sword. The sword sends the Dynamen into the Millennial Cave ans seals them in. The tail soldiers cheer him on as they march away. Yes, ignore the fact you were able to escape and just left them in their. Dr. Yumeno proceeds to enter the cave and try and open the gate with the narrator giving an ominous speech. Next episode shows the Dyjupiter and Grangizmo facing off.

Episode 51:

After a clipshow of the last episode Blue panics about the team being trapped and Pink starts spouting how they are screwed. Dr. Yumeno tries opening the doors with a rock to no avail. He then runs off yelling he will be back. Cut to Grangizmo where Megiddo says they need to destroy Dyjupiter and DR to make the victory complete. Fire Sphinx uses his dimension seeing powers to locate Dyjupiter which is flying. The Grangizmo takes off and Dyjupiter has Dr. Yumeno piloting it. Rockets fire from Grangizmo's mouth while the Millennial Cave starts to shake a bit. Toxic gas leaks in while Dr. Yumeno has flashbacks of the team. Gotta love how Yellow gets so little. Meanwhile the heroes start to tire and sweat when Red sees an opening in the ceiling. At Grangizmo Megiddo demands Dyjupiter be finished as the rockets continue. Pink manages to contact Dyjupiter withe the others following and Dr. Yumeno waking up to fire missiles at the cave doors. The Dynamen run out as rocks start falling down.

Grangizmo continues to chase Dyjupiter and Megiddo sends everyone to the ground to fight the heroes complete with intros and tail soldier obliteration. Gotta love how people near death can suddenly run around in battle. Fire Sphinx gets assaulted quickly with the NSD following. Megiddo and Chimera enter the fray two against five. The men fight Megidddo while Pink duels with Chimera. Black and Blue have their weapons sliced (is this a recurring joke and only now I noticed?) before the men have their suits damaged. As Pink duels with Chimera on equal footing Red manages to use his Naginata on Megiddo, wounding him. Chimera tries helping him as they return to Grangizmo and Gizmosquitos are launched. The team beams up to Dyjupiter so Mach, Mobile, and Garry can form DR. Grangizmo goes rocket crazy and emits flames from the mouth. DR already resorts to the Dynamic Jump and uses the Fall, causing Grangizmo to crash with the Evilution Empire to end in a fiery explosion hidden behind a cliff. Dr. Yumeno tells the Dynamen well done. The heroes exit DR and meet up with Dr. Yumeno with all of them putting their hands together and posing. The episode ends with the preschool kids meeting up with the team as the sunsets on the beach.

Lets not beat around the bush, Dr. Yumeno is so far the best instructor/mentor in the franchise history, he does his job throughout, does not leave for most of the series, and can hold his own in a battle as well. Red, Black, and Pink get too much screen time with Blue getting a reasonable amount and Yellow almost forgotten about. I won't lie, this is the main reason I don't see this better than Denziman, too much imbalance. Zenobia.... could have been Chimera, she acted mostly the same until she decided to go full traitor. She was not bad or anything though. Kar being more active in progress certainly helped and he did have a hell of a final battle and death scene, points to that. Aton was very standard as far as big bads, nothing wrong with that. Megiddo turned from whiny brat to anti-villain foil and it works very well even though I'd rather have episodic build up done better than fifteen seconds at the very beginning of the episode. Is it a bad thing I feel like the villains are developed better than the heroes? The final battle was mostly well done although they could have stretched it out a tad longer and not have Grangizmo's destruction obscured by a cliff. I have to give this series props for background music, it really set the tone. One thing I found irksome, which is certainly a nitpick and not something I hold against the series itself, was that Garry had no weapons. Why? The other two dyna vehicles did, couldn't a pair of machine guns or battering rams be useful? Something I do hold this series accountable to is editing and yes I know Toei toku have a habit of bad editing, but man does it show here although they try to make up for it with well done stunt and wire work with different camera angles not used in previous sentai. Now for the final dilemma: Where do I rank this? Most of the good stuff story wise does not happen until episode 37 which, if it was its own series throughout, would have been the best sentai so far, but I also have to remember the first two thirds and how average they were. None of the villains I found as enjoyable as Death Giller from Goggle-V, but they were close and the fact that I eventually did like them all is saying a lot. Plus it helps that the protagonist side did not have pointless side characters outside of the mascot- Actually now that I think of it Kendo Robot just sort of disappeared. Eh, screw it, second best series after Denziman.:castlerock:

Before I start on Bioman I will point out that yes I will be using subtitles for the episodes that have been fansubbed and those that have I not I will be using the Filipino dub for the rest. Episode 50 I have not found in that dub, but I have located the French dub and while I am not fluent in French I have taken enough of it to understand basic words (I'm better with reading than hearing), if I miss important details don't be afraid to point them out! Bioman take on starts tomorrow.
