well, in my defence, Captain America is/was/still/maybe/kinda/sorta/diet whats right with comics. Maybe the media did make a big deal about it because really.... today has ben a slow news day period. Sort of like what happend to the "Death" of superman (or as I called it, the end of the Bronze era of comics and the beging of the Rob Leitfeild/Todd McFarland bullcrap years).
