Budget wars.....

My suggestion is that you buy the computer yourself and break the umbilical cord with your parents. You need to be living on your own.

This.

You know, sometimes family members try to take care of each other. They know you were wanting a new computer and they're trying to get you one. Be grateful for that. Sure it may not be the computer you've wanted, sure you were going to buy one yourself, and sure this thread is something that belongs on a proper website for stuff like this.

But you know what? They care. They're doing their best to help you. You have a problem with what they're doing? Take it to them. 300 bucks is NOT cheap in this economy for a gift.

I teach kids once a week as a part of a community outreach program, some of the kids there are selfish little brats, that no matter what you do for them or how you try to please them, they never appreciate it. What does this have to do with this? To be honest it's how you sound about this whole ordeal. Just looking for things to pick at and then complain about on a message board. Chill.

Well stated. I like your avatar too. :castlerock:

Sentinel King, have a talk with your parents instead of making threads like this. You need to handle your own issues. Get a job, pay the bills with your own money, pay for your things, etc. Tell them that you appreciate their offers, but you would like to do this yourself. This probably started because you accepted so much from them and they believe that they still need to take care of you. You're an adult (and not a recent adult either) so act like one.

Don't you ever address me in that tone ever again. You're not my doctor. I don't have that disease!

SK I think the thing you should get from this topic is that this probably is not the best place for you to be posting this. Your topics slowly degenerate into yelling matches, and I think you need to realize these are not the best topics to be creating. I respect you a lot for trusting random people online with this information, but I honestly just do not feel this is the place for it. I'm sorry if this hurts your feelings, it's just how I feel. I understand you have problems communicating in English but a lot of your messages are just so confusing it's impossible to understand you at all.

Regardless, best of luck, but I hope you learn that these kinds of topics are going to generate the same responses time and time again.

1. Cool story bro

2. Do what I do, buy everything in secret, no family involved, don't even tell them. Every figuart I own and am about to own bought with what I call my spending money, bought through a friend who shares my hobby. But yeah your money your expenditures, solve your own problems, don't whine about it.

I've re read this thread several times now, I have no Idea what the true problem is. I keep getting mixed messages about the whole gift giving thing...it makes not sense.

same here.

do you know how much 300 dollars are worth in my country? its 13,046.56 pesos! it's already a lot of money!
you're already 26, yet you complain about a lot of things. there are some things that you need not share in public, like this one. it makes you look childish if you argue with people with something that only you and you alone must know.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

My estranged mother got pissed off at me for having fowl tone towards her! I'm actually enjoying it! I'm really loving it when it comes to teaching about economy! :D

Anyway, we're actually cool now. We're going to chatting up right now.
