When I first saw the commercials for the series, I basically judged a book by its cover, and thought it would be horrible. Man, I was wrong! I recently started watching the series via Megavideo and Veoh...and it is pure awesome! Does anyone else watch the show? I love how they have the teasers at the beginning of each episode to kinda get us ready for another adventure.

I tried doing a search, but I couldn't find a thread.

I have a question about the series; is it based on the older issues of the comics? I'm not familiar with the comics, but some of the suit designs look old school-ish.

The look of the show is very much inspired by Batman comics of the 1950's and 60's drawn by an artist named Dick Sprang. Some episodes are inspired by a specific comics of the time.

The show is not just 50's Batman. It kinda borrows a bit from everything but yeah. That old-school vibe is part of the deal.

Batman: Brave and the Bold is one of the greatest superhero cartoons ever. They made Aquaman cool without him being a jerk. I can't see how anyone can dislike it without not liking "fun".

Light-Hearted Batman is not my favorite, but to be honest, this show is great. I like it.

Well I think one of the many reasons the show works is that while it is not dark and Batman himself might be lighter compared to other versions they don't play him as bafoonish or anything.

More simply put, they found a way to keep Batman badass even in the context of lighter hearted show. So even when he's making justice speeches or something he still feels like Batman.
