Avengers Line-Up Revealed

For once I agree with KingRanger. Cap Thor and Iron Man are considered the big three founding members of the Avengers, everyone else are just revolving door members IMO. Plus this isn't the comic book, so its even possible that SHIELD will found the Avengers this time around, similar to the Ultimates.

So because it's not like the comic it fails? That is a very shallow reason for saying it fails when you know little to nothing about how it will work out in the end.

No offense, but that statement doesn't mean much around Marvel's ability to make movies, and to make an even larger example, DragonBall Evolution.

Your statement here made no sense to me. Could you please explain what you were trying to get at? I mean Marvel made Iron Man. They were directly involved with it. So what exactly are you getting at here?

That only failed because they had no idea what they were doing. Of course if I mention the Dark knight the very people I'm speaking to will not like it.
But Iron Man by itself did just fine vaguely imitating it's comic. As long as you can make a good story out of it by all means use only the big four.
Comics can never be completely copied for obvious reason such as trying to juggle all these big name stars into one movie. They only have so much money for each of them you know.

Hulk in the movie = Fail.

Hulk is a founding member. Cap is actually not.

I'd throw in Wasp, but from a movie perspective, she'd require weird special effect shots that'd only work with her.

Monica Rambeau or Ms. Marvel would be better choices to up the female contingent.

Its good to see they are trying to keep it simple.

As simple as a massive crossover between multiple superheroes can be, anyway....

And I am sure later movies will expand the lineup.

I'll rephrase.

Hulk in any movie = Fail.
I'm shocked. With your love of the big beefcake, I'm surprised Hulk isn't one of your favorites. Any reason?

Also, on Ant-Man: Hank Pym is bar-none one of the most horribly utilized characters in the Marvel universe. The height of his character was wife-beating, and he only hit her once in a panel back in the day. Past that, his defining trait is the fact that he's an utter failure. No one has ever made him truly click (except marginally in his asshole Yellowjacket persona) and as such, he's bounced around from characterization to characterization.

So while I'm sad to miss out on what a fresh pair of eye could do on the character, I can't say I'm sad to see him go.

No, it made total sense, that's why you were able to name only one movie that didn't suck from Marvel.

I am saying that sifting through piles of **** for gold may work once or twice, but it shouldn't be the main goldmine.

Marvel has a few good movies, but for the majority, they sucked(In my opinion).
