Anyone remember M.A.N.T.I.S?

In all entertainment, I feel that Asians in America have been getting the shortest end of the stick.

You are 100% correct. Hell that's why I added the Facebook page against Yellowface. It's a real problem too. Look at the new Avatar: The Last Airbender movie. Ang is played by a white kid. Why? Have you ever met a white kid named Ang? And apparently the casting calls ASKED for white people. It's like, there's finally a good asian character, and they don't cast an asian for it. Also I feel bad for asians getting the entertainment stereotypes of nerds or martial artists.

And really entertainment wise, the South gets dicked over a lot. Hell, the city I live in is ranked #1 for fastest growing, and richest job market. We're listed as the nation's second Silicon Valley. Yet any movie they would ever make about here would consist of a **** ton of rednecks. Only movie that didn't was Space Camp -_-

Black Dynamite is the only current hero I love who breaks all my rules for what I want out of a black hero... and it makes me love it. :D

Nothing in the show said they had to be asian.

But the culture in the show does. Besides the characters were based off the asian animators of the show.

And also casting the two darkest people on the show, white in the movie already gave it away they going to white wash it.

Thing is, the world of Avatar is a fantasy setting inspired by asian culture. Emphasis on fantasy. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have necessarily gone in Shamwow's casting direction, but as long as the actors are convincing i'm good.

I think it's about people just really wanting to see themselves represented on the screen. And with a property like The Last Airbender it was really and truly the prime time for Asian heroes to really shine....... and even this got swiped out from under them. So, that kinda sucks.

Well Lord of the rings is a european based wise fantasy. And they were all casted white.

Why wont the same thing happent for a asian influence show. Sorry but all this realy looks racist too me.

...but Ang IS a white kid!

It was probably a choice made to make it as appealing as possible to it's target audience. There's a reason the little children's in How to Train You Dragon are inexplicably missing their thick Scottish accent.
