“Remember – War of the Son” is a Korean drama TV series released in 2015 with 20 episodes, and categorized as Romance, Thriller and Suspense, and Legal Drama. It’s a gem. ♦ If You Can’t Trust a Lawyer Then Become a Lawyer In “Remember – War of the Son”, Seo Jin-Woo’s father is accused of raping and murdering a young girl. Unfortunately, his father is suffering from Alzheimer’s. His mental condition is quickly degenerating. Even though he did know the young girl who was the victim, he told the police that he didn’t. He wasn’t lying. He really did not remember. But the police twisted his words and made him out to be a liar. Seo Jin-Woo is a young kid in high school. While I enjoyed the series, I believe "Remember - War of the Son" should have been more concise in its storytelling. The theory is fascinating, and the corruption inside the court system is thoroughly examined. However, some of the plot twists seemed contrived. Park Dong-Ho's character arc, for example, featured some times that appeared incongruous. Having said that, Namkoong Min's portrayal as Nam Gyoo-Man was extremely impressive. He made for an unsettling villain. Overall, it's a good drama, although not without flaws.

Honestly, I wasn't expecting to like "Remember – War of the Son" as much as I did. Legal dramas aren't usually my thing, but this one hooked me from the first episode. The tension between Jin-Woo and Park Dong-Ho added a lot of depth to the story. Plus, the portrayal of Alzheimer's in Jin-Woo's father was handled with sensitivity and realism. It gave the show an emotional core that I wasn't anticipating. Now I'm considering watching more K-dramas because of this!

What resonated with me the most about "Remember – War of the Son" is its unflinching look at the justice system. Seo Jin-Woo's fight against corruption and his unwavering quest for justice is something we need more of in real life. The series does a fantastic job of highlighting how those in power can manipulate the system for their own gain. It’s a powerful reminder of the importance of integrity and perseverance. I found myself rooting for Jin-Woo every step of the way.

I enjoyed "Remember – War of the Son" for its mix of genres. It kept me entertained throughout its 20 episodes. The plot twists kept me guessing, and the performances were solid. I didn't expect to get so invested in a legal drama, but the show's combination of thriller and romance elements worked really well.

Watching Seo Jin-Woo fight for his father, despite all the odds against him, was incredibly moving. Yoo Seung-Ho’s portrayal made me feel every bit of Jin-Woo’s pain, determination, and hope.

The courtroom scenes were intense, and the legal strategies employed were fascinating to watch. The series does a great job highlighting the flaws and corruption in the legal system while showcasing the importance of perseverance and ethical conduct. The dynamic between Seo Jin-Woo and Park Dong-Ho provided a compelling look at moral ambiguity and redemption. It’s a must-watch for anyone interested in legal dramas.

Seo Jin-Woo’s transformation from a high school student to a lawyer driven by personal tragedy is both inspiring and cautionary. The series realistically portrays the challenges of fighting against corruption within the legal system. It’s a powerful reminder of why I want to pursue a career in law.
