Anyone else thinks that Jetman is somewhat overrated by the toku fandom?

I'm in the camp that says Jetman is overrated. It is a very good series. The villains are excellent, and the cast is pretty good as well, including Ako. I do like that all the Jetman come from different walks of life. However, the storytelling IMO is nowhere near being epic. The love triangle started out interesting, but soured as the season progressed. Also, Jetman's ending tops all bad endings that I've seen in toku so far. Among the pre-2000's series I've seen (Liveman, Jetman, Zyuranger, and Dairanger), I think Dairanger tops Jetman because it has much better storylines IMO.

Power Rangers Time Force is overrated. It's almost like the DBZ dub, where people feel the English dub is superior when it's far from it.

Mirai Sentai Timeranger had one of the best endings though. It's superior to Power Rangers Time Force, in that it has more power to it. Seeing how Power Rangers Time Force is a wannabe Mirai Sentai Timeranger.

By the way, the final battle between the Time Force Rangers and Frax is far more epic in my opinion than their final battle with Ransik. Timeranger felt even more epic. Seeing how PRTF is MST US, I feel that Ransik (who is basically TF's Don Dorunero, along with Gluto) should have been done with in their hack of the Timeranger episode where Don Dorunero is done away with. That would have been a better point in the series to have Ransik redeem himself rather than some half-ass fight scene for a final battle.

Which do you like better? The love story between Tatsuya and Yuri, or the love stories in Jetman in general?

Are yo sure people don't mean the dub to Kai, because Kai's dub is superior to the Japanese version. For the original "constipation" version of DBZ, then yes, the Japanese versoin is better. However, the Jp cast is either too old for some of those characters, or the recastings for obvious reasons ruined the character. The dub for Kai took advantage of this and made it a solid translation dub without adding their own dialog or jokes for the sake of doing it. Not to mention Chris Ayres managed to even top Ryusei Nakao as Freeza, which I did not think was possible.

I don't remember much in the way of TimeForce, other than the gender reversals and the dude that look liked he got attacked by the cast of Hostel.

However, now I know you are just doing this on purpose. Getting into a side discussion is fine and normal, but now you are doing it just to be a douche.

I agree. Threads will never stay on topic, when people like you steer the discussion further and further away from the primary topic. It'd be different if there wasn't a thread for it, but there is one open and active. You can argue and dispute this all you want, but the fact of the matter is is that there's a thread for said discussion. Don't try and justify your inability to pay attention to the active threads around you.

I've only seen about 6 episodes of the show, and it seems fine, but the mentor, Captain Odagiri, is a bit of a psychopath, and a bad actress. Look at the episode where she's training Raito, Ako, and Kaori to fight in the beginning. She's constantly chews the scenery.
