PARTY HARD
Differences(?) Review 5 - Episode 6
Woooh! 5 Reviews?! I'm doing good! Maybe I'll beat my Best Wishes and Xros Wars run and finish the series!
Episode 6 - I'll Beat You, and Beat You Good
[hide]-Well now, it looks like the Empress SL begins. Or not. When your Knowledge reaches 3 (and when Episode 5 ended, Yuu was at 2), you initiate the Empress Link, in which it starts off with Margeret, that fucking hottie, being alone. I would rather be alone with her than that long-nosed imp...er...I stand by what i said. Margeret is fucking hot.
-lol That's cute. It starts right off the bat about Kanji's little hobby. You don't even get into that until later on, or during his social link. And NOW we have that Golden Week (oop, we can't do it anymore) thing. I expected it last episode, but damn...well, I guess it's okay like this.
-Yukiko, you're so cold to Yosuke...I would be to. I hate him. XD I should stop talking about this scene, because it's definitely in the game and manga, and it's the same sort of thing. You JUST can't hate Nanako though. Right, onii~-chan?
-Wow, they're REALLY...oh, wait, I think the manga skipped this section. Midterms, where you're not answering questions but watching the main character answering the questions. I hated those questions. All of them. Though watching Yosuke inevitably failing until the last day was hilarious, especially the part that blinked "Yosuke's seat".
-A bit of a tidbit. This is where the manga starts leaving off, mostly because of the lack of scanlations. Safe to say, after the Kanji arc, I'll stop comparing to the manga. After Childrens Day (May 5), when Dojima gives gifts to Nanako and Yuu, the scene switches to an office somewhere, where our mysterious boy in a blue hat notes the interesting cases of Inaba. This was no where in the anime or the game and is a manga-only scene. Seeing that boy again in the episode reminded me of it, so there's your first (or second) difference of the day.
-In the game, you don't do much when you're staking out Kanji. I think you just go about your day as usual, and after school, well yeah. The manga explores that a little more where they follow him around from when Kanji enters school to when he goes back outside to meet this boy.
-It's amazing what cell phones can do these days. Put them next to each other, and you get the other person's number. Man, I wish America was much more simpler...I mean...no, there's not much of a difference here either. But it's the first hint of a canon pairing. There are times when Yukiko and the Protagonist in the game will have a little off-social link thing, and Yukiko does hint her affections (though not as much as Rise). The manga does the same thing too, but like I said, my time with the manga is almost over...Oh yeah, this is when the Priestess Link starts. Three social links, and no new Persona this eps...
-The game and manga doesn't have Yosuke and Chie using their cellphones to communicate, nor do they do it when they're within a direct (and hilarious) vicinity of each other like in the anime. This bit has its own charm that makes the anime more distinguished than the other two mediums. They even have an added thing with this new character, Aiya, who I forgot to mention last review. Sorry, stupid me.
-Seriously, this added bit with the running AND the donburi, holy ****. I can't breathe. I seriously can't breathe....and I'm seriously hungry...I bet Kanji was all, "What the **** is that girl with the bike..."
