Wow. I thought no one else had heard of Hikaruon except me. EPIC one episode OVA that everybody should watch.

Guyver was explicitly inspired by Kamen Rider, iirc. The OVAs are a good watch, I couldn't get into the TV show.

Sailor Moon is written pretty clearly in the style of late 70s tokusatsu and 80s Super Sentai, though how strong the influence comes through varies from season to season.

The first season is a little watered-down, but it's really noticeable in R and especially S. The S season even gives Sailor Moon its first bout of sixth ranger syndrome and has enough budget that people occasionally hit each other!

Gatchaman's so good, Jetman was a homage to it. I remember watching Eagle Riders, one of the Gatchaman dubs, when Fox Kids launched in 1996. But I hear Battle of the Planets was a better dub. Haven't seen it to judge for myself though.
