Best Animated Series with Strong Female Leads?

[Justin J]

I've been getting into more animated series lately and I'm really interested in ones that feature strong female leads. I enjoyed shows like "She-Ra and the Princesses of Power" and the "Avatar: The Last Airbender" series with Katara and Toph. What other series can you recommend that showcase compelling female characters in the lead role?

While I appreciate your mention of "She-Ra" and "Avatar," I'd argue that "Avatar" leans more towards an ensemble cast rather than being solely led by female characters. Katara and Toph are fantastic, of course, but the story is really driven by Aang and Zuko too. If you're looking for strong female leads, have you watched "The Dragon Prince"? It has some great female characters like Rayla who have their own arcs and agency. Or maybe you'd enjoy "Kipo and the Age of the Wonderbeasts," which features a really inspiring female lead in Kipo. What are some traits you look for in a strong female character?
