Yeah pretty much. Though I wish the comics themselves were a little more focused on a general audience that included kids instead of a narrow demographic of older fans who think gobs of antiheroism, darkness and gore are the only way to do a story that is "serious". Of course that's kind of spilling over into the movies to.
Part of why out of the two, I loved Iron Man so much more than Dark Knight. That's not to say I want campy Batman instead (though I think the Brave and the Bold cartoon is a blast and anybody with a soul should check it out) I just think many times these characters work better when not forced into one of the two extremes between wacky and grimdark.
