All Tokusatsu: Do you know this?

There's so much. Nobody said stop. I guess you can make threads for different places, like this is the Japanese All Toku Thread and there's a Korean one and an American one or something.

but why does it have to be japanese? There are a lot of good stuff from America or China or even Korea with Rayforce.

That was my point, I've found many great things outside of Japan or the Asias. It's a huge undertaking, but that's why it's collective. I know someday there will be an exhaustive book or at least website with the listing and history.

Well, to list the easy ones, you could probably go ahead and toss in the space shows that aired in syndication in the US. Maybe Twilight Zone, it's more or less like Ultra Q without the monsters.

Just because you aren't trolling this time, doesn't mean you're not the troll, so why tell him to ignore you?
Mr. Yellow, like I posted before, there's too much so keep one focus point.

Dude, what are you? 15?

why does everyone think that American Tokusatsu has to be made by toei or a adaptation to be called Tokusatsu >_<

....To be honest with you dude, I DON'T think of Power Rangers as a Tokusatsu. Other people do and I don't take issue with it, but unless we make up our own adaptations, they don't really count.

And like I said. Yeah, Iron Man was technically (by definition) Tokusatsu...that doesn't stop me from thinking it's weird to call it that.

I think you should start with Japanese, then work your way out. That way you don't limit the scope, but there's still a focus.

How about, this is a thread for ASIAN toku.
and if you want to, make one for American and European toku.
Just no Spanish toku, I DO NOT want that chicken Kamen Rider.

Yeah, I'll be starting with Japanese.

I consider adaptations to be tokusatsu, only because their headers were. It's almost as if a dub of a movie wasn't considered the same as the regular version. But that's my opinion.

Lol. Chicken Kamen Rider? See, we're learning things already. :P

WTF!!! WHAT!!! you dont think PR is TOKU!?! HOW CAN YOU NOT THINK of PR As TOKU O_O

Because I've seen Toku as JAPANESE LIVE-ACTION WITH SPECIAL EFFECTS.
And Power Rangers is simply AMERICAN LIVE-ACTION WITH SPECIAL EFEFCTS.

It's the same as why in japan it's manga. but in America they are called comics.
It's all about country of origin. They are teh same thing, but just named differently.
It's all the same to me.
