I hate Frank Miller because he hates Superman.

Gotta' love some of his views (emphasis mine):

I was out to remind readers about the inherent joy and wonder these superheroes offer, and also to celebrate their delicious absurdity. I saw the superheroes as Gods and Heroes in the Classic sense: Mighty, quirky, lustful, capricious, noble, petty, wrathful, unpredictable. Like I said, he should stick to his original work, and keep his hands off of Batman AND Superman. He's doing a grave disservice to both characters.

I have even more respect for Alan Moore than before! And not just because he's very scathing towards Miller (especially concerning his upcoming anti-terrorist Batman comic):

Frank Miller, I haven't been able to read him for some time. Have you seen his latest idea? It is - and I can hardly believe this - Batman vs Al Qaeda. What can you say to an idea as absurd as that? This is our response to thew Iraq war? Miller's trapped in a teenage world of macho violence. Look at Sin City. Every woman is a bloodthirsty, semi-naked whore; every man is a indestructible killing machine. It's nasty, misogynist, Neanderthal Teenage, but it sells.​

I really don't see why everybody's complaining about Miller. Superman sucks anyways due to his suit design being corny ,and his god-like abilities. Besides ,you guys probably didn't complain about the Ultimates fighting in Iraq . So stop bitching about him. Sin City was supposed to be that anyways. :eyebrow:

Well I'll have to pick up the comic myself 'cause I've only read his previous works ,like Year One ,and The Long Halloween. You are probably right. Batman treated kids like ****? That's a WTF moment right there.

I know the feeling. Especially when it comes to Watchmen and Killing Joke. With KJ I don't know if I'm more disgusted with Moore's story itself or his editor giving him the go ahead saying "Yeah, cripple the bitch." or DC deciding to make it canon for the mainline DCU.

I don't think the responsibility is his alone but he is at the top of the list.

It is cool to read that quote from him. Another you might like if you haven't heard it. Apparently, Joe Quesada spoke to him at a convention and said "I'm modeling everything I'm doing with Marvel on your work in Watchmen!"

To which Moore's response was "...why?".

If she hadn't been crippled, she'd be a pretty forgettable character. Hate to say it but that was actually good for her; she was given 'staying power' in the continuity and working as Oracle does far more than she could have as just another sidekick.

Otherwise, I've seen about last one hour to end of Sin City and I thought it was pretty good. I need to see the whole thing.
