IDW Reveals Star Trek Discovery Four-Issue Miniseries

After years of near-total dormancy, Star Trek is finally back and making up for lost time with a ton of different shows at once, due to Paramount’s sudden need for content and valuable IP during the streaming wars. The first of these to be released was Star Trek Discovery, which now has multiple seasons and — soon — its own comic miniseries. IDW announced today the imminent arrival of Star Trek: Discovery – Adventures in the 32nd Century.
This four-parter will focus on a different crew member in each issue, with the first being devoted to Grudge the Cat. The issue description says “A flashback tale of her first meeting with Cleveland “Book” Booker sets the stage for a trajectory establishing Grudge as the greatest feline spacefarer of all.” It also says here she’s “the queen.” Um…as someone who has never seen the show before, I was not expecting this.
