A King's Dream Fullfilled?

When The Fruit Of Life Corrupts Men
Today, if you haven't already realized it, is a day celebrating Martin Luther King Jr.

A man who stood up for his ideals so that "colored" people could have a better tomorrow and not be shunned or considered second class citizens in front of the "white" man

Many say this dream has come to pass, but has it really?

What are you thoughts?

I think white and blacks are treated equally now, so I'd say his dream has come true. Of course there is still racism, but there always will be. Humans just always love to fight amongst themselves. But how do you decide who to fight/dislike? See who is different. Who is a different religion, gender, race, etc. So I think it's pretty much come true as much as it can.

Hope i got my point across clearly. I suck at putting my thoughts into words.

I think its a mistake to celebrate the man who fought for equality in things like schooling and employment by giving people the day off.

Oh... my... God...

I'm sorry, I was just watching a documentary "Conspiracy? Who Killed Martin Luther King Jr." on History channel! In fact, it's still on!

Back on topic, he was a great man. One of the idols I look up to. He united two race of people without violence. Leaders that don't use violence like Ghandi or Mandela are my idols. That includes him. :)
