4kids to create "Toonzai"

4Kids Entertainment has acquired broadcast rights for Dragon Ball Z Kai, and will air the show on its CW 4Kids Saturday morning block beginning this fall. Sneak peaks will begin airing this summer, and episodes will also be available on 4Kids Websites.

Cable rights have been sold to Nicktoons, which will begin airing the show next month (see “DBZK on Nicktoonsâ€).

The addition of Dragon Ball Z Kai is part of 4Kids’ stragegy of expanding its anime programming (see “Kahn Promises More Animeâ€). 4Kids told Mediaweek that it planned to bring “edgier†anime titles into the line-up for the CW 4Kids block, and will tentatively brand the block “Toonzai.â€

So, there you have it. We now get PR back and possibly a poor man's Toonami.

What other goodness can come out this year?

You gotta be kidding me. Now, the question is, how will 4Kids screw up DBZ Kai?

...that only means 4KIDS has the right to air it :redface2: Funimation still has the same exact dubbing tights that they've always had :P Just like when Naruto was put on Disney XD, everything will be edited, but edited the exact same way it would be for a TV release :P

I like how when 4kids is mentioned, the automatic assumption is that they'll have a hand in the production some how...same thing happened with Dragon Knight.

4Kids is a terribly company. Every show they have ever had they ruined with their stupid edits.

Well that's not QUITE true as when they brought out Ultimate Muscle, it was actually very very entertaning.

It's just a shame they didn't release the DVD's to go with that =/

Ultimate Muscle was pretty cool, but they didn't finish it! Did they??

I honestly don't know if Ultimate Muscle in and of itself was ever a finished product but i know that they only released one volume on DVD and finding torrents of the series is impossible.

Hell if i can find RAWs of the series i'll consider it for a project for Order of Zeronos.
