2017 Super Sentai Rumors thread

For a show that's trying all these new things, couldn't they have gotten rid of the dancing ED credits? Even ToQger could do that.

ToQger didn't bother showing the ED at all for several episodes! This show is going for max commercial appeal, so it was pretty much a given that there would be a catchy ending dance ...

If they really had to have dancing, given the song it would've been cool to do some kind of throwback to Gavan or Juspion. Juspion's disco moves vs the saccharine nature of almost all of the Sentai dances. No contest.

So apparently the show's page on the Toei website is stating that the first five episodes are a prolog and that episode six will begin the "Earth liberation" arc. Hopefully that means there will be more arcs, or perhaps it's a Kakuranger-style situation where it just means "the show's a bit different from now on"?

It doesn't seem the latter is what they were going for with the statement. They branded as the first five episodes as some sort of prologue/introduction while they say the Earth Liberation arc is "chapter 1" of the series.

That's now 2 Monsters from this show that I swear were based off of villains from Juukou B-Fighter/Big Bad Beetle Borgs

Magazine scans supposedly indicate that after Earth has been freed part two of the show will be a search for a lost space ship called the Argo. The Kyurangers wil be guided by the Pyxis Kyutama in order to find the Puppis, Vela, and Carina Kyutamas, which are said to be required in order to find the Argo.

That sounds pretty interesting. I'm glad they're not sticking to Earth permanently (though I'm sure we'll be visiting a lot of Earth-like planets!). Any idea when the Argo arc starts?
