20-yo Countstrike player tracks down and knifes in-game rival for real

So this guy in France get stabbed in a game of CS. No biggie right?

Well, this guy then spent SIX MONTHS tracking down the guy who did it, knocks at his door one day, and when the guy answers, Plunges a Knife into the mans chest in "Revenge" for his "Cheap kill" of his character. The perp was noted as saying that he felt the person needed to Die because of what they did to him.

The guy survived and this psycho has been sent up for 2 years, with the judge saying "You are a menace to society. I am frankly terrified of the disproportionate reaction you could have if someone looked at you the wrong way in the street."

Some people take a game way too seriously.

I'm sure he'll end up smothering some kid for beating his party in pokemon or something. People like that don't seem to be able to stay out for too long.

In case anyone was wondering, he was not charged with Attempted Murder, but with Assault causing Grievous Bodily Harm.

The knife missed the guys Heart by about a inch BTW.

Is Attempted Murder a crime under French law? I can't imagine the prosecution not going for it if it is, considering the guy spent months planning and even said he wanted the other guy to die.
