15 TV Sensations, Whose Popularity Faded Fast!

Vice was where most of 24's writers started their careers. It jumped big time when they blew up the Daytona, then Crockett gained amnesia and became a drug lord....

...Actually, the very absuridty of that is awesome, what am I saying?

Arsenio Hall, Twin Peaks, Batman, Miami Vice, and the Monkees were shows that I enjoyed quite a bit!

Is it just me or the time lapse gets shorter the closer you get to today? :p Shows don't last as long as they used to.

God, I miss Arsenio Hall. There hasn't been anything like it on TV since.

eh? Well... I guess. I dont really remember the show as being special in anyway. But then all I do remember of the show was his entrance.

Anywho, Batman. woot? Default answer but I still love that old Batman show. I remember I was addicted to watching it the year before Power Rangers came on.

What about Joan of Arcadia? That show was huge during its first season, but got cancelled partway through the second.

And, yes, Arsenio Hall was the ****. :buttrock:

Americans get bored more easily. They want instant gratification and have short attention spans. I blame many of today's problems on this mentality.

No, it's that writers can never sustain their ideas and/or that network executives begin to interfere too much. Most of the problem is that the networks don't even allow time for a show to try and become a hit, anymore.

The one I disagree with on that list is Studio 60 -- that wasn't even close to being popular! The network crammed it down the viewers' throats all last season (trying to force a hit), the viewers watched once, the writing was preachy and the show was just awful, the viewers stopped watching.
