Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition Available Now On PS4, XBox One
Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition isn’t a mobile exclusive anymore. Square is planning to make the game playable on consoles….and they’re starting immediately with the surprise release of Pocket Edition on Playstation 4 and XBox One.
Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is a remake of Final Fantasy XV with different-looking graphics. The combat is simplified (because of its phone origins), but essentially the game is all there, just acted out with less realistic models. So why would you play this on a system that can play the original? If you have to ask, you’re not the type who prefers the oldschool chibi style. Many FF fans do.
If you’re thinking about getting the game, consider this: it will be 40 percent off on both marketplaces in its first week. That means its intended $29.99 price is now $19.99 — a pretty good deal for the amount of content FFXV has in it.
Also, if you’d like this game on Switch instead, just wait. Square has promised a Switch version is “coming soon.”
In FINAL FANTASY XV POCKET EDITION HD, fans and newcomers alike can follow the journey of crown prince Noctis and his brothers in arms, Prompto, Ignis and Gladiolus, with fully voiced key event scenes and faithfully recreated battles. All of the treasured moments from FINAL FANTASY XV, like driving the Regalia across breathtaking landscapes, camping, Chocobo™ riding and more, can be experienced in a whole new way with the game’s creatively reimagined art style and in HD resolution.
