Resident evil: Code Veronica fan remake
Resident Evil: Code Veronica is supposed to be the next game to follow Resident Evil 3. It is next in line but Resident evil 4 is more popular. 4 is getting a remake for one more reason, Its aesthetic is more similar to Resident evil: Village and they want to reuse assets. Code: Veronica, Village and Re4 are all set in Europe but the latter ones have more similar aesthetic. Code Veronica is in a more modern prison facility while the other games are in rural villages with castles. Resident Evil: Code Veronica takes after the events of Resident Evil 2. Claire Redfield tried to infiltrate an Umbrella base in Europe because she is still searching for her brother Chris. She is just a 19-year-old college girl who sidelines as a babysitter but she did this:
That scene is so Iconic that those Paul Anderson Resident evil movies tried to replicate it with Alice doing Claire’s moves instead. Claire just survived the Raccoon city Outbreak and she is now in a Prison in Rockfort Island. Code: Veronica has two Iconic villains with the Ashford Twins. Alexia Ashford was a child genius researcher of Umbrella and her brother Alfred. Alfred might be a hard sell on the current political climate because of the complex presentation this character had. He had a split personality out of loneliness and longing for his sister. He sometimes crossdresses as Alexia. I think there is nothing wrong with making a villain on the LGBT spectrum but there is a way to make Alfred’s presentation less offensive.
Code: Veronica also has Resident evil’s second canonical romance. Claire’s relationship with Steve is one of the major components of this game. Some fans find him annoying but his portrayal in Darkside: Chronicles is well received.
This fan remake is not for profit. It will reuse assets from Resident evil 2 remake, Darkside Chronicles and the original Code Veronica. Despite the recycled assets it looks great.
