Rebecca Chambers and Claire Redfield makes their canonical comeback to the Resident Evil lore. Both of them will be Joining Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield in Resident Evil: Death Island. This is the first time that the 5 of the Playable Resident Evil Protagonists canonically worked together. Ada Wong is the only one missing. The movie portrays what occurred after the events of Resident Evil 6 and takes place before Resident Evil 7 and Village. The Redfield siblings on the screen together is Resident Evil: Code Veronica. Jill and Leon never met before so it is interesting the two blue color coded characters finally meet. They are together in Dead by Daylight
but it is not canon. Jill and Rebecca are both in Resident Evil 1 but they never interacted.
The trailer seem to promise to make the ladies shine. Capcom had sidelines these ladies in Games and movies in favor of Chris and Leon.
Rebecca was kidnapped Resident Evil: Vendetta. Now it seemed like she is there to Save Chris, Jill and Leon. Claire’s last game appearance is Resident Evil: Revelations 2. The Netflix animated limited series, Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness, sidelined her in favor of Leon, despite her appearance in the show. Jill Valentine’s last canonical appearance is Resident Evil 5. Revelations is a prequel of it, so her fate had remained a mystery for a long time. I hope this movie is an apology on how the series treated these ladies in favor of Chris and Leon.
The Silent Female Antagonist of Resident Evil: Vendetta, Maria Gomez makes a comeback. She now serves a new villain named Dylan. Dylan wants vengeance and spreading T-Virus in Alcatraz is his way of doing it. Something you will notice is that everyone aged except for Jill because T-Virus slowed down her aging. Dylan is the brother of Glenn Arias who is the antagonist of the previous film.

A Bio-terrorist attacked happened in the tourist spot Alcatraz Island. People seem to be infected by the T-Virus. The cause on infection in many of the early Resident Evil Games. Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield are sent to a Mission to investigate the attacks. Jill Valentine is back years after she recovered from Wesker’s Brainwashing. She is the one of the few people in the world with immunity from the T-virus. It may have slowed down her aging but all what she had been though makes her suffer from PTSD. Things will become hard for the trio so Claire and Rebecca will come to help them. For the first time in Resident Evil history, 5 of the main heroes of the game are back. See this Grand Reunion this July 7.
