Wonder Woman Movie Gets Production Start Date
Easily one of the more anticipated movies int he DC Cinematic Universe, Wonder Woman has been quiet about much of its filming. Including when it would start filming!
But now, thanks to a panel at the Geena Davis Institute, the team behind Wonder Woman have well and truly confirmed that the film will begin production this November. Well ahead of its June 23, 2017 release date. Producer Deborah Snyder confirmed this while also speaking positively about the story and director behind the film:
“We still wanted a female director and we found Patty Jenkins, who had the right vision and the same vision that we had for the character. We’re really happy that we’re going to be going into production in November, it’s been a really great process. We’ve tried to hire as many female members of the crew as possible.”
There have been a lot of rumors flying around about what the Wonder Woman solo movie would be about, and when it would take place in history. Some have thought it would be WWII, and now some are saying WWI. One thing is confirmed, and that’s Chris Pine being Steve Trevor in the solo films. Everything else Wonder Woman? Still very much in the air.
