Wizard of Legend Gets Fully Funded On Kickstarter
Wizard of Legend, a 2D dungeon crawler releasing for PC, Mac, and Linux currently being developed by Contingent99 LLC, has reached its Kickstarter goal, with only a few hours left in the campaign. According to the developer, Wizard of Legend is a dynamic, combat focused dungeon crawler where players assume the role of a powerful wizard dashing through a procedurally generated dungeon while slinging spells at waves of conjured foes in an attempt to win a legendary tournament known as the Chaos Trials.
The game features a non-conventional take on wizards – no wands, beards, or drawn out incantations. Just a no nonsense, action packed take on wizardry that emphasizes precise movement and judicious use of spells. Should the Kickstarter campaign be successful, Wizard of Legend is set to include a number of features:
- Fast paced spell slinging combat
- Wide variety of spells and items to fit your playstyle
- Procedurally generated levels mean a new challenge every time
- Dynamic bosses and enemies learn new spells as you progress
- Unlockable wizards with unique signature spells
- Local co-op and versus modes
Throughout Wizard of Legend, exploration of the dungeons is said to be a seamless experience as you travel from one room to the next in search of powerful spells and items to aid you on your quest. All of the dungeon layouts are procedurally generated and are comprised of both randomly generated rooms as well as precrafted experiences. Enemy placement is also handled procedurally and enemies will gain new behaviors and spells of their own as you progress further into the game. In addition, each dungeon contains other would-be allies that will help you on your adventure.
Currently, Wizard of Legend has raised almost $70,000 on Kickstarter with an original goal of $50,000. You can check out the games Kickstarter here, where it’s close to getting a couple more stretch goals.
