Watch The First Trailer For HBO Max’s Clone High Revival
I said I’d write a post about every bit of new Clone High information we can get and I meant it. The first trailer for the first new season in twenty years for one of the best shows in existence was released this morning, and you’re all going to sit down and watch it no matter what other urgent matters you have in your lives.
My favorite bit from the leaked season premiere was Cleo trying to “wake herself up” by hitting her own face in increasingly violent ways, and the full gag is in this trailer, but sped up a bit. I think the higher speed throws off the timing. This is one of those “it just keeps going” type of jokes that needs to be long. But nitpicks aside, this is a minute and a half of never-before-seen Clone High material, and even without Ghandi, I am here for it all. (Though I really miss Ghandi, dangit)
Just about all the original actors have returned in their roles, with the exception of Cleo who was originally voiced by a white woman (she is now played by Mitra Jouhari, and there’s no difference). They will be joined by Ayo Edebiri as Harriet Tubman; Vicci Martinez as Frida Khalo; Kelvin Yu as Confucius; Neil Casey as Topher Bus (secretly the clone of Columbus, a fact he’s trying to hide); Jana Schmieding as Sacagawea; Sam Richardson as Wesley; Mo Gaffney as Ms. Grumbles; Al Madrigal as Frederico; Danny Pudi as Dr. Neelankavil; Emily Maya Mills as Ethel Merman; Michael Bolton as Michael Bolton; Mandy Moore as Mandy Moore(?), Ian Ziering as Ian Ziering; Steve Kerr as Steve Kerr; and Jeffrey Muller, Kyle Lau, Dannah Phirman, and Danielle Schneider.
Clone High will return on HBO Max sometime within the next three months.
