The Ultimate Simpsons In A Big Ol’ Box
At this point, twenty seasons of The Simpsons have been released on DVD — two thirds of the current library, roughly. At the pace they’re going, 20th Century Fox and its parent company The Walt Disney Company should get to our current season by the time Fox broadcasts the 47th. But the important thing is, all the truly classic seasons and episodes are available, except “Stark Raving Dad.”
And now there’s an easy way to obtain all these episodes, provided you can get your hands on it. Fox is preparing the ultimate Simpsons gift box for sale….a massive brick containing all twenty released DVD sets in one. The Complete Seasons 1-20 Limited Edition will go on sale December 3. No price mentioned, but we assume it costs a lot.
Journey to Springfield to witness the adventures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie from their humble and heartwarming beginnings in “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” and through all of the wild adventures of their first twenty seasons, featuring iconic episodes such as “Marge vs. The Monorail,” “Bart the General,” “You Only Move Twice” and the legendary two-parter, “Who Shot Mr. Burns?” The beloved series won 34 Emmys® and introduced the world to several celebrated guest appearances by fan favorites including Kelsey Grammer as the criminal mastermind, Sideshow Bob, Glenn Close who brilliantly played Homer’s loving and sweet mother, Mona Simpson and Albert Brooks as the evil genius, Hank Scorpio.
Notice the words “Limited Edition.” They mean it. There will only be 1,000 copies of this bundle ever produced. 500 will go to Amazon (where they’ll sell out in minutes) and 500 will go to Best Buy (where you should have a better shot as long as you’re there early in the morning). If you miss both opportunities, well, the individual seasons aren’t hard to find.
