The Dwelling Comes In November
Uncork’d Entertainment has announced The Dwelling, coming to DVD and VOD in November.
The premise behind this one is simple (and more than a little odd): there are four people on a bed. If any of them leave the bed, they’ll suffer gruesome fates. So they must stay on the bed until they can figure out what’s going on and how to uncurse the futon. It’s like Speed 2, only it’s on a bed instead of a boat!
This sounds like it’d be an easy one to film, but the trailer indicates that plenty of things will happen off and away from the bed. The situation is that it’s being used by an old hotel and it was picked up in an auction. Let that be a lesson to you — never buy a used bed; it could have bedbugs. Or a horrific death curse.
The Dwelling is a Black Fawn Films production and stars Slasher’s Alysa King and Gwenlyn Cumyn (“Barbelle”). It was directed by Jeff Maher, and written by Maher and Cody Calahan, It’ll be creeping onto DVD and digital November 26.
Four people find themselves stuck on a haunted antique bed where leaving means suffering a gruesome death. Plagued with frightening hallucinations, they must figure out the bed’s secrets before they are ultimately picked off one by one.
